Just started on Speed TV, AMA Superbike from Daytona - and there is another 6 hours and 30 minutes of bike racing to come. All kinds of it, road racing, motocross, and flat track. Jack |

You know . . . last year, when none of the Buells finished there were a lot of folks with a lot to say . . . I'm eager to here there take today. Can you believe with lord knows how many years to prepare that not ONE, not a SINGLE, MV Agusta finished. I think MV needs to come to grips that racing is not their thing. It's saecasm folks. . . I chuckled at the Buell pundits self proclaimed clarvoyance last year . . just a great chance to tease them. |

^ Did they race 4, or 2? The younger guy who wrecked was running in 10th for a little while. I like MV's bikes, hopefully they can pull together a few podium finishes in the near future. /probably not even close in reality though! |

D.J. just took out C.S. Guess he didn't see him. C.S. has been steadily working his way thru the pack.. |

Looks like Walt is still toughing it out. My heart broke when I saw him go down, but if he can just get it across the finish line, I believe that will give him a spot in the history books as the first Buell to ever finish the 200. Go Walt!!! |

In my opinion, it looks like D.J. came in wide, braked late and turned in. C. S . was in front on the inside of the turn. In the heat of battle, there lines crossed. C.S. front wheel was clipped and he went flying. Looks like he is ok. C.S. is now in 49th. |

heal up man and way to tough it out. Good finish, it looks like you were having fun. Corner workers kinda looked at you funny when you wanted to stand her back up and get going |

Cornerworker may have made the demand that he put it in neutral. If I recall, it was still in gear, wheel spinning. Glad to see Walt back up and in the battle!! Too bad he had got punted ... would have been a different race for Walt and Team Bison. Way to go! Walt, you done us proud! |

Hooray! A Buell finished Daytona! Will Honda protest the RR? If not I wonder why? |

All in all, a pretty good day of racing. Congrats to the Buellers at Daytona, it was great to hear the big twins amongst all the wailing I4s. To Honda, the Gods of racing are punishing you for your lack of class in the matter of the AMA allowing other than rice burners in Formula Extreme. Miguel has my sympathy though, that would have been a terrific race but for Hondas massive brain fart. I want to see more Buells, Ducatis, Triumphs, and MVs in there and hope to see their fans at the races. I really enjoyed the AMA short track or singles as they call it now. That was some pretty spirited racing and nothing is better than watching a bunch of good riders on four stroke singles on a smaller track like that. Kind of the American version of speedway racing. Well everyone, speaking for the crew as we head back home, Walt is one tough guy. He brought the RR back to the pit, still running even after the fall, and we got it together, changed the rear tire, his damaged helmet and he went back out. From then on it was our turn, two pit stops with rear tires. The RR finished and did it well. Great job Walt!! We sure had fun helping you And a Buell finished the Daytona 200!!! |
