Well, this is Walt. I just wanted to let everyone know there will be a least one Buell in the 200. I ran a 1:48.7 so I'll be in comfortably. My crew is awesome! |

question from a guy who doesn't know a lot about racing, will they put 65 in the field? They all fall under the 110%. Walt is less than 7 seconds off which puts him at 38th, wow... |

Looks like only 61 made the field... http://www.amaproracing.com/prorace/raceres/rr/qri ders.asp?year=2007&type=f&snct=p5200&cls=fe Darren James sneeked in at 60th. |

They do limit the size of the field but not sure WHERE the limit is. There is only room for about 40 teams along pit wall. As it is, the folks qualifying down in the pack are backed up nearly to the banked exit onto the front straight. |

Buellrcr, went by the fence at the pit area. Thought an event badge was needed to get in the pit area. GO BUELL !! |

Slaughter, That's what I was wondering, where the cutoff was, I wouldn't think they could run 61 but I may be wrong. Regardless, good on ya Walt, keep it going, and have some fun! Good to see another one in there too... |

There is no real cut-off at Daytona. The only requirement is to be within the 110% rule. They have started as many as 71 in the past. |

Congrats to ya!! Good Luck out there, that's a tough race. Wish I could be there, we will be cheering for ya from TX. BTW anyone else notice AMA has bike listed as XB12R instead of XBRR? Hope everyone has a safe race and weekend. Godspeed Sir, go eat you some rice and get a podium for you and all of us Buell fans. |

It is listed as an XB12 because it is technically a modified XB12 not a new model. If it was a new model it would not be eligible to race. |

The team is ready (Jamesgang Racing pit crew)and Walt, and the Bison Racing RR for the race. Yes Tom/CJ we are having fun, and lots of work preparing for the 200. Our team experience with MotoST last Sunday makes it a little better. Supercross and a team dinner tonite, let's go racing! (Message edited by coolice on March 10, 2007) |
