I have a 2007 lightning XB12S in cherry bomb red and was thinking about placing some led lights underneath the translucent airbox cover to illuminate it at night. Has anyone done this? If so, what type of lights did you use, how many, where did you place them, etc. Thanks for any info. |

Funny you mentchen this. I have an 06 hero blue, and was thinking a similar approach. I will be one to admit that I am against any type of neon lights on anything. But for some reason I think it would like kinda cool on the air box lid. I was thinking just a real low watt bulb, the body work should provide the color so a normal white light should work. I was thinking to mount it in the pocket on top of the air box, that way it would hopefully glow through out the air box more then just shine through. If I end up doing it I will go as dim as possible and have it on a seprate switch so I can turn it on and off when ever. Let me know if you end up doing it |

I played around a little. It takes a lot more light then you would think to be noticeable. |

We'll need a new section in the KV, "Pimping Your Ride". Jack |

We did a Hero Blue a couple years ago, with the Harley LED light kit. Looked pretty cool, but we did have to monkey with positioning a bit to get them noticable. Added a couple on the bottom edges of the frame rails on each side, and lit up the sides of the engine too. |
