Author Message   Toona Posted on Saturday, March 03, 2007 - 11:00 pm:        My winter project was swapping to a Firebolt tail. Now I'm looking for someone who wants to trade saddle bags. I have a nice set of XB Lightning bags and looking to trade strait up with someone who has a set of Firebolt bags and brackets. I will consider selling the Lightning bags, but prefer to trade first. I don't need them. My wife wants a set for her S. What condition are yours in? The one I got are like new and I have 3 brackets that came with them. No instructions though. Interested? But all the velcro is nice and there are no marks on the bags. I don't think I've ever used them in the expanded "state". I will get some pictures on Monday. Thanks!   Toona Posted on Sunday, March 04, 2007 - 09:38 pm:        Edm, from what I have researched, there are differences in the bags: The Lightning bags have "receptacles" on top for the trunk bags, the Firebolt bags don't. The Firebolt bags have accessory brackets, I'm guessing to keep the bags from rubbing on the Firebolt tail plastic. I will "install" the Lightning bags on the Firebolt tail, but I'm pretty sure the mounting straps would rub the plastic tail. I'm not sure if one tail is wider than the other.
