My son must have charged his batteries last night cause he is still doin laps around the living room. IF he decides to crash soon I can pull the Cyclone out and get her goin but I'm runnin a bit behind schedule today (go figure with kids, huh) May have to cage it out to Old Glory to wear him out a bit more. See ya if you pass my way on the highway. |

It's a long way out but has anyone given consideration to either going to VIR or Mid-Ohio for the Buell sponsored track day? |

Americade in June in Lake George, NY. Anyone going? Buell will have the factory truck there for demo rides. Seems to be a more sedate crowd but there will be a lot of vendors. I have not been before but I am considering it. Web site is: www.tourexpo.com |

Track day: I'm considering it, I just have to save some money for it, I hope it doesn't fill up too quickly. I didn't ride all weekend, since I couldn't find anyone to ride with, K took advantage and had me run errands. The only one I didn't mind was picking up Little Ras' B-day present - Yamaha TT RL 125. Pretty nice, looks like now I'll be getting dirty! I was disappointed with the power, no one let's you demo dirt bikes! Should've gone with the KTM 105. Oh well, we'll beat the crap out of this one for as long as we can. |

I will be meeting with Steve from Old Glory HD this afternoon to go over some ideas how they can better support Buell owners and provide a Buell friendly environment. They are very enthusiastic about the brand and want to make sure they get and keep our business. Let me know if there's anything you'd like to pass along. Speak up! |

last post for today for those of you interested to join me in the Total Control class posted above go to http://www.totalcontroltraining.net There are some Rider's Edge instructors going if we can get some Buell riders to go and fill the class the cost is reduced by $50.00 from the Total Control staff not by the college. If we get 6 riders then its $25.00 off. Please don't mention the discount to the college, it will be refunded to you after the class is over. Tracy M said if you mention the discount to the college registration staff "their heads will explode!" |

That's a great course! I took it from Lee and Tracy a few years ago when they just started. (I'm in the book! Look for an orange face shield) I'm planning on joining their ranks as an instructor--- I think... |

Chauly, that's impressive, are you MSF instructor now? I was in the process becoming an instructor for Stayin Safe, I was involved with the process since last October, then last month they told me the cost to become an advanced Motorcycle instructor and get a instructor training manuel cost $800.00 and that price doesn't include hotel stay and meals. Total Control is $750.00 for their training I knew another MSF instructor who wanted to teach for them and backed out because of the cost. I don't know where the Total control instruction originated but the Stayin Safe instruction material is from the UK and can be had for free. And guess what I have it now! |

Stopped by Old Glory yesterday during lunch. Nicest bunch of people I've ever met working for HD. No pressure, plenty of answers and were thrilled that I was a Buell rider. Even if it is only a little Thumper. Talked to Tony in service, and he was extremely helpful. Unfortunately they still don't know when they will be getting Buell accessories in stock yet, but they will order anything you want. They may become my dealership for service when I can't do it. |

The TC cost is now $500; they have a class coming up on Memorial Day Weekend up in Poughkeepsie, NY. Of course, I'm also looking at the pay thing. I'd be teaching in Frederick with Tracy; that's 3 hours away, it's just 1 day, and pays about $200 for the day. I still teach the BRC; that's local to me, it's Saturday and Sunday, and I make $300. Hmmmm.... Do you have the I.A.M. (?) manual? |

Chauly, don't know what a I.A.M manual is. Stayin Safe pay for assistant instructor is $500.00 a weekend plus room and meals at the Natural Bridge, which would have been nice touring the beautiful roads down there blue ridge parkway etc. I have the UK Police pursuit training manual and got it from Larry Grodsky's UK chief instructor, and with any help I need, he will coach me on this advance motorcycle training. Are you interested in trying it out? |

Alchemy, This is my first time too. I've been wanting to do this rally for a couple of years. I don't know if they have a thread for Americade here on Bad web but we could start one. I'm going with 3 ladies. We are meeting up in Port Jervis on Sunday morning. The other 2 are riding up with me from Baltimore on Saturday. All of us are experienced riders, 2 buells, 1 Magna, and one Voyager. Buell Home coming, I hear, is the same week. K |

Hey Delta.. Ok, I looked at PTTs' site. They don't rent gear, but there are some sponsors they know of that do. Depending on what you need, you may be able to find it quite easily at least at a good price. (nice two piece gear is great for street use as well).. So, what do you need? Maybe some of us can help out.. Oh and if you decide to do a TPM track day.. They DO rent gear (not helmets) .. So which date(s) are we talking about? There is a thread for the Buell Day at VIR (sub thread to ours).. Later.. |

Babired, I may be interested. I'm probably not going to the TC class. (I need to focus on some other things right now.) I may look into the Stayin' Safe program, both to take it and maybe become an instructor. After all, I already live near Natural Bridge! |

Babired, Americade is June 4th - 9th. Homecoming is July 5th - 8th so there is no date conflict. Americade seems to run Monday thru Saturday. I am thinking of going something like Wednesday through Saturday with an eye on the weather. That should give me 2 solid days to do some demo riding and check out all the vendors. My plan as it now stands it to ride up with a fellow on a BMW who is making some cabin reservations to sleep 4 or 5 guys. They have done this before so I am the new guy. He says you can shop tires and get them installed on the spot more or less. Similarly there are vendors that sell and install or have product for sale with them. It should be interesting. |

Americade, traditionally, conflicted with Homecoming. . . it won't this year. By the way, if you are meeting in Port Jervis, that ain't an all bad neighborhood to ride in itself . . . you'll likey recognize the road BMW has used to film car commercials on. Court |

Chauly, The Stayin Safe class is awesome, but they really need an HR person to hire new instructors. You can go on the Stayin Safe web-site and get in touch with Randy he was my POC when I was going through the hiring process. It is a bit lengthy and you have to ask a lot of questions otherwise your're pretty much guessing a lot. They do good work and point out a lot of riding situations that are not covered in the MSF BRC and ERC courses. K |

Alchemy, I'm there the whole week Got a cabin too but girls cabin We're doing unguided tours and other stuff but devoted one day for the demo fleets. There is so much to do there we had a mini meeting just to plan out some events, just sent in out reservations together. Totally looking forward to it. Then just signed up for the VIR track day in Virginia! I need to teach some more classes to pay for all of this |

For the X1 recall kits (sorry, the service dept is a little swamped at the moment), we show six of the recall kits in stock. Give a ring with your VIN and we can schedule an appointment to get 'er fixed! |

Oh, and Ras - thanks for posting the Sportfest flyer. I'm still planning on being at HDF around 8am that day for a "spirited" ride from Frederick to Williamsport. Gotta give that new Penske a workout! |
