I got over 6k miles out of my rear syncs, but that was on a 9, not a 12. |

I got over 6000 on Syncs on my City-X twice and now twice on the Uly. Time for the rear now and the wear bars are just showing. So now I gotta do the required burn out and change. I really think, if I stopped doing stupid stuff, I could ride a long distance trip on the Syncs, and get about 8,000 on a rear and 20,000 on a front. |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=142838&post=832471#POST832471 Damn, Flynuly, that bike looks awesome. Without a doubt, I will run those tires when they make them the right size. Do you feel any difference in the handling when on the edges? The tread looks excellent, but the cross section profile of the tire looks a little flat to me. |

Chadleys, I run the same set of tires (Pirelli MT60) on my XB12X and haven't noticed any difference in handling when on edge. Maybe someone with supersick handling skills would notice a difference, but I don't. As for the cross section looking flat... I doubt it. The outer diameter of the 180/55 tire is 99mm. The outer diameter of the 160/60 tire is 96mm. 3mm difference total diameter. That means only 1.5mm drop in height from original stock tire. That pretty much sounds like the difference between a new tire and one with a couple hundred miles on it (or a good burnout! ). |

If you want an aggressive dual sport type tire in 160/60, you can try the Avon Distanzia. I plan on trying it if I dont get the tomahawks. http://www.tireexpress.com/category.cfm?Category=2 145 |

Murraebueller beat me to putting the mt60's on his bike. He just got them on and said he doesn't notice any difference handling wise yet. He is heading out to Mexico for a serious trip and will report back what he thinks of them. After seeing them on his bike, I know they will be my next set of tires. |

Xcephasx- They are Pirelli MT60-R Corsa size 160/60VR-17. I'm running them front and rear for now. No issues with the smaller size. |

Good grip in wet and dry, and make great rock chuckers in the gravel. |

Fubar66- sent ya a PM. Treadmarks- what kind of mileage were you getting on the Distanzia's? I'm still searching for my perfect tire; one good thing about the Uly is you're not stuck with anything for very long. |

Anyone else see this. http://www.tiresunlimited.com/ALL%20TIRES/Dunlop/d unlop_d616.htm Apparently this is a "NEW" H.P> series, though I could not find applicable info on the Dunlop home site. Dunno NUTS |

I'm still searching for my perfect tire; one good thing about the Uly is you're not stuck with anything for very long. 5000 miles on them now. The rear is getting flat in the center, cause I don't have any curves in this town, other than on/off ramps. Still plenty of tread tho. Maybe one day, I will be able to park the bike and not have to use the kickstand. I must say tho, after shedding my 616s for the syncs last week, the difference is amazing. Much smoother with zero swimming and great traction in the rain. |
