Hey D3r3k, When we get bumped to the top we should put a little picture like the brass knucles or the rip off AMA thing next to Detroit Hooligans name. |

Okay here are some the dates that we talked about at the meeting today. People in attendance were President D3r3k, Jugallo, Eich, Tiburon, Salty, and myself. For any one that does not have a endorsement the performance base class (riders with experience) the date is April 7th, $25 here is the link. http://www.wccnet.edu/academicinfo/continuingeduca tion/lwl/search.php Okay next order of buisness when the weather gets nice we have Ypsilanti bike nights tuesdays, Toledo Wednesdays, and Royal Oak on Thursdays. We would like to get to know the Aprilla, triumph, and Ducati guys from Ypsilanti for possible track days together later! First trip is tentatively set for the first weekend in June the 1st-3rd. Leave early Friday morning come back Sunday night. Don is going to trailer up (if he goes) so we could possibly put bedding and coolers and stuff in his truck. Adam knows all the good roads up there, and Brad_Buell lives up north and will hopefully ride with us. Adam and I discussed possibly spending some time on the lake and his Jetski as well. Homecoming is July 6-8th. This one is up for an organizer either Spidey or D3r3k. I personally do not believe I will be able to get the time off. If I do it will be last momement notice. Lots of people already have plans for the Fourth so I will leave this one up to the group that is going. We also talked about going to the Dragon the week after Labor. So we would leave either the Sunday or Monday one week after Labor day, and come back on Friday. Don is already looking into rooms and right now the most we count is 8. So if you have not expressed any interest in the Dragon now is the time, because Don is looking into rooms. Once again Don will be trailering and D3r3k offered up the use of a large trailer that could accomendate more bikes (not sure how many). Also at most the rooms are going to cost $40 dollars a person a night. This includes a kitchen area so we don't have to eat out all the time. We plan on a day for travel both ways and three days riding. The only other thing that we talked about was T-shirts. $13 dollars each if we buy the guys shirts, and $9 dollars each if we take shirts to him. Patches and stickers will come after. The last idea everyone talked about was the AMA rip off (black and red wheely or stoppie) If any of the above information is not correct or I missed something feel free to chime in. (i am going of memory not notes). I feel this was one of the most productive meetings that we have ever had. Also don't forget that we are not a BRAG group any more so if your friends ride sportbikes (perferably twins) bring them along for a ride. I will say with that though, we have a group of fairly safe riders and I don't want to see any SQUIDS start to ride with us. We can deal with them if it happens! |

Hardcorps. Good post considering you only drank 6 beers. JK. I had my wife checking some 3 bedroom units in Gatlinburg. The one i liked was Gatlinburg Town Square, its in downtown Gatliburg, sleep 8 comfortably but could probably do more if they were willing to sleep in the bath tubs. Here is a web site were you can see what it looks like. www.summerbayresort.com. I'am not sure we can get that spot but it will show you what i'am looking at for places to stay. I will be using the week of Sept 10th for a start date. If 2 people have to sleep on a pull out couch i might be able to do $30.00 a day for them. I'll let you known as i have to put in for the dates i want and the resorts i'am interested in. The sooner i can get a conformation on whos going the better. |

Well the weekend of the 1st of June is locked in for my parents cottage. I was thinking if we split up the group half @ my place and 1/2 at hardcorps... the cottages are only 10 minutes apart.. and I have a tent that sleeps 4. or the cottage also has enough beds for 3... so what ever.. Brad I will call ya later and we can hammer out the details |

Those sound fun. I would like to make the Dragon trip for sure. My parents have place on the lake in Gaylord, so any up north thing I could join for a day. Tons of awesome roads in that area and not many cops (J/K Hardcorps). I agree with the squid comment, haven't ever put a street bike down (jinx) and don't plan on it because of some ding head. Hopefully I don't fall into the "unsafe" category because of a occasional wheelie now and then. I'm trying to tone it down a bit since I turn 40 this year. Blackbelt, did you get an XB yet? I thought I read a post a while back about it? |

Update on the Dragon trip. I have booked a 3 bedroom/sleeps 10 with 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchen. It has 1818 sq ft of living space. The name of the place is Crown Park Resort. It is a new resort and it is in downtown Gatlinburg. I will be leaving on the 9th Sept which is a Sunday as i have it for 7 days. The people who are coming can decide which days work for them. Like i said i have it form the 9th till the 16th of Sept. Depending on how many guys are going will depend on the cost but it will not be more than $40.00 per day per person. I believe we will have a great time. (Message edited by tiburondriver47 on March 01, 2007) |

Not to rain on Tib's parade, but I would like to get a count of the people that are planning on going up north on June 1st. From the meeting I think D3r3k, Jugallo, and Tib are in. Ofcourse myself and Blackbelt are in. Just curious how many more want to commit. Remember there is no cost, just your own gas and food. Hard Corps |

I am in! Maybe the Big Kid and the Little Kid. The Dragon looks like a very strong possibility if I can keep from pissing off the wife between now and then..... And now for your reading pleasure: The National Poetry Contest had come down to two semi-finalists: a Yale graduate and a Yooper. When given a single word, they were allowed two minutes to come up with a poem containing it. The word they were given was " TIMBUKTU ". The Yale graduate stepped up the microphone and said: "SLOWLY ACROSS THE DESERT SAND TREKKED A LONELY CARAVAN. MEN ON CAMELS - TWO BY TWO DESTINATION - TIMBUKTU ". The crowd went crazy! No way could the Yooper top that, they thought. The Upper Michigander calmly made his way to the microphone, and recited: "ME AND TIM A HUNTIN' WENT, MET T'REE WHORES IN A POP-UP TENT. DEY WAS T'REE, AND WE WAS TWO SO I BUCKED ONE, AND TIMBUKTU OK? |

I probably wont be able to make the trip up north. Boss gave a choice, either that weekend or the next weekend off. Since its my sons first birthday have to take the second weekend off. Dragon is a for sure no for me. I am still trying for homecoming though, so if anyone else wants to go let me know. |
