Love it! The only complaint is the collar, it bunches up a little, but you get used to it.

Recommend that you find a place to try one on, if possible.

Got one Aug 06 when I bought my Uly. Washed it after 8 months of bugs and rain. Only problem is you have to reapply a water proofer. Otherwise, it's great. Been asked why do I wear something so heavy, "because I want to keep riding". Preparing for the eventual day of Fall.

Just came across this string - hope people get some value from my post. I t-boned a deer a couple weeks ago, hit the pavement doing 50-something, and only had a deep cut on my thigh (some rock or road debris), a sore upper arm, and some sore ribs. Yeah, I was really lucky: the deer had slipped and was on its stomach when I hit it, and I landed pretty well, but I also got right up, shook it off, walked over to my Uly, and picked it right up. Bizarre..."workin' them angels overtime...". That said, I credit the AST with cushioning much of the blow to my arm, protecting my back, and reducing the seriousness of the cut on my leg. The set is incredibly warm, good-looking, and the jacket is great in the rain. The vents are good, but against bare skin (on the sleeves) the the vent mesh is a bit abrasive. No big deal. The pants are NOT waterproof - they have nice vented mesh - so you'll need rain pants. Maybe there's a better pant to go with the jacket, but I like that I could wear shorts under the pants in the summer and still get better protection than jeans. Anyway, I'm going to buy a new AST jacket, and see if someone can repair my AST pants (the zipper ripped). Hope that's a good testimonial.
