We did good this past weekend - two trips to the podium. Our team rider Marty Beshears finished with a 3rd in lightweight twin superbike and a 2nd in heavyweight twin superstock. He had a small crash in the 20 lap race the day before the wins. He crashed in the last turn of the last lap, but came back the following day to get the 3rd and 2nd. The Drummer team will be at Roebling Road March 16 - 18. We will be running the National challenge series in WERA this season. Marty gained his expert status this past weekend.

Thanks guys....it was alot of fun thats for sure...Marty wore his helmet cam all weekend so we have all the practices, races, and the crash on video...will have to burn some dvd's soon...I think after Saturdays crash and Sundays podiums we made a great showing for the Buell against the 4 valvers.... I'm glad someone posted about the Drummer Race team. I've been holding back since I came home from the races. Marty and Kevin got people talking this weekend....It was freezing cold and the new track was slick. I'll try to post some pics' later. Good job guys... |

Nope, still using the regular SS...I'm learning alot about how the bike wants to be ran on the track, and its not at the top of the powerband.. Kevin www.kdfab.com |

Hey Kevin, are you guys going to run any CCS/ASRA up my way? Hoping to have some good subjects for the new camera.. I haven't done any WERA since there is some wording in their 'photo-permit' statement I really don't like. But, if you are coming up this way.. and need a shooter.. let me know.. for a Buell team, you know I'll get in there and do the do for ya! |

Blublak, theres a moto-st at VIR that we are trying to get the funding together for...right now just 2 moto-st's in the schedule so far, but mainly I want to stay WERA and compete against the watercooled twins..we will be at Summit Point this season also....I'll try to get our schedule together and post it here if anyone cares to see it......if you go to wera.com and look at the National Challenge series schedule, well thats what we are shooting for this year and a few close Sportsman races as track days.... Tim, nothing closer than VIR and Summit Point...theres races in our series in Utah, Michigan and Ohio...I doubt very seriously I'll make them because of travel time and expense...maybe you could fly down and I'll pick you up at the airport and you can go to the race here in Kershaw?? I'll let you ride my 12 while your here, it has NOS just like yours and a CF Mongoose on it...its fun to ride.... Kevin www.kdfab.com |

Kevin and Marty have done an incredible job which is even more amazing when you consider they have had almost zero outside financial support. There are plenty of smart people on this board. How can we get some serious money to help Kevin out? He is currently taking a lot of time and money away from his business to race and provide a lot of free publicity and exposure for Buell. How can we drum up some help for the Drummer Race Team? |
