Tim, The seat is going to look badass. Does that sound right? I love the "LMF" pipes too. |

Well I finally got internet. so?? How's everyone doing? I'm doing well working a lot except at the moment weather slowing down all construction. Anyway I'm planning on charging up my battery, changing my oil and riding some when it does finally warm up. |

If you are running the oil through the frame will there be any areas that will be close to your legs that might get too hot from the hot oil? |

Actually it will not be running through the entire frame only the front down tube and lower rails. Now of which will be close to my legs. |

If you ask me, those pipes look way to long and I think they will not nearly be loud enough. It looks better in person, we just need to get it closer to done and get the B1tch out to paint and powder coat. JJ, Good to see you back on here. |

"May sound high in price but thats what I'm looking to get out of her." That reminds me of the "Don't take this the wrong way, but..." that sometimes comes before an insult. |

lol yup thats me! Still alive, just extremely busy theses days chasing after the little one and messin with the new bike. the triumph is awesome! I got an '07 Daytona 675. Love it. Currently have it in a hundred pieces in the garage modding things already! I don't have to sell the buell but honestly I don't see it gettin ridden very much, and I kind of hate to see her sit. I'd rather someone put some miles on it. |

There is a lot more than just chopping the tail to that bike. Check out the custom xb thread. He has everything powdercoated or annodized and a custom air ride suspension in the back. |

The bike looks awesome Tim! I can't wait to see it finished. So I was seriously thinking about buying a Buell Select seat or a Corbin for the bolt until I was talking to one of the guys here in the office that had his cruiser seat reshaped. I emailed the guy he sent his seat to, and he said he would replace the factory foam with memory foam and make any shape changes that I want. I don't really have a problem with the shape of the seat that I can think of, but maybe you guys know more than me. He said he hasn't done sportbikes before, so he would do mine as a prototype and only charge me for the foam and shipping. I'm going to try to send him both my seats next week. I'll let you guys know how it goes, and if I don't like it I guess I'll bite the bullet and buy one of the other seats. I just hate the idea of just getting only a front seat and spending $150 for the Select seat or $350 for the Corbin. What do you guys think? (Message edited by Olinxb12r on February 20, 2007) |

Dude I have to say, I was skeptical when tim told me he was chopping his XB, but I have to say yesterday when I saw that thing it is cool as hell. the picture doesn't do it justice its cooler in person!! Sam I wanna see those tins pounded out that thing is cool to. I'm just floored by tims bike I didn't think tim could hammer a nail with his meat claws, but he's doing a bang up job. |

Tim, Wow! Its really starting to take shape. Very impressive. Can't wait to see it in action. Sam, How is your chopper coming? You should post a pic of the ol' X1 in the Custom Buell thread. That thing is awesome looking. Only wish I coulda seen it in real life! James, I'd give that custom seat guy a try. Sounds like its worth a shot. For some reason I thought the "Touring" seat for the Firebolt was about $100, though. I went for a 5 hour ride on Sunday on the Firebolt (w/ the Buell Touring Seat) and I almost think it is more comfortable then the Select Seat on my Lightning! Tripp, You still in NY? |
