I ordered a like new set of bags from a fellow badwebber and everything was great except this...
That is the latch that locks the bags to the rack. The whole thing is rivited on and does not look very repairable... I am not mad at the guy that sold them to me, I just want to know is this fixable? How do you remove the lock to replace it, and who do I talk to to get another lock? Can a dealer just order it? |

Yes - Replace the latch which takes all of five minutes and two screws. I had the same thing happen to one of my bags when they first came in. It may have happened in shipping like mine. |

This is not the bag latch it is the latch that locks the bags to the rack. No screws in sight. |

As M2nc said, we had the locking cam break that locks the bag onto the rack. Daves had our bag replaced under warranty. If Andy or BMC can't get the part you need, check with http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com/ and see if they have the part you need. We needed parts that weren't shown on their webpage, but they were able to get them for us. Good luck |

Cool thanks. Sorry M2nc, sounded like you were talking about the latch not the lock. |

sounded like you were talking about the latch not the lock. I think he confused the two issues we've had! We did have a latch replaced which took a couple of screws and 10 minutes. However, the cam lock we didn't do anything with but ship it to Daves. I'm the one home and takes care of the motorcycle and car details! Good luck. |

>>>>now can my dealer order me these? Easily. Any problems, drop me a note. In fact, if you can I'd like to have you SEND me a good detailed photo and a description of what happened before Thursday morning, if possible. Court |

Wow a phone call and everything... every company should have a Court Canfield. Thanks again Court, I know getting my dealer to figure out how to order that part would have been like pulling teeth. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. |

Wade, it looks as though you are in good hands and on the path to a resolution. My first phone call was going to be to Court, but I see that you have found one another. Let me know if I can be of further help. Enjoy the bags. Court, Thanks. Seth |

That was actually the only problem I have had with my bags so far. The latch that locks the top bag to the bracket broke the cam part off and then the bag fell off on my dirt road and scuffed up the silver piece. With some help from Court, my dealer gave me a new bag they had in a box and swapped in a matching number lock they had ordered from Buell. |
