-triple clamp bearings(at a minimum clean/inspect/lube)
-oil bag grommets for the fittings

Where you leaking any oil out the bottom of the tank? Mine was leaking pretty bad.

I've checked two hardware stores and still can't find the grommets. Someone said that you can get them at any lawnmower repair shop. Problem is, I live in a city, so we don't have lawns, much less a lawnmower repair shop!

I think there was a bag of grommets on e-bay. Just do a search for "Buell S1"

Don't forget the rear isolators. They're probably due for replacement also.

might wanna consider rebuilding the forks -- 20,000 miles and the forks could use the attention

more slowly than I'd like, but solely due to gumption issues ;-}

actually, just one weekend or so behind schedule . . . . .

stripping the fork uppers was WAY more effort and time than I'd expected . . . course, I tend to slothfulness in the winter, so I can only yell at the nut behind the bars!

Thanks Loki and Hodakaguy. Found a pack of 5 on ebay for $9 w/ shipping. Did you also use sealant when you installed them? The pipe looked like it had residue of some kind of adhesive when I pulled it out of the fitting.

I honestly do not remember if I did or didn't. Put some oil on the fitting. It will be a tight squeeze.
