Mike and I are riding today. P.S. I will post later. Mike is planning that trip to Michael's in a week or two. I'm gonna get some more details. By the way, Carlos, I stopped by Mike's house yesterday (he was playing croquet in the cold) and I told him you'd like to meet us on the way up. He was excited to say the least. So, yeah, it's a done deal. I will let you know when we plan on doing this. He's also looking for people to head out to the Mts. and Atlanta soon. I'll get the details on that. Later. Mark |

Mark - I am going to wait until 11am and then I will be heading to Jacksonville with the wife on the Uly. The plan is to ride from here to New River HD and pick up two Buell toboggans Then we will ride to Old Maple Hill road and the Fish Camp for lunch. Ride back down Old Maple Hill road then up US-50 back to Grifton. So I will be at New River HD between 12:00 & 12:30pm depending if the wife can handle the cold. As far as for Mike wanting to ride in the mountains and Atlanta, does he mean T.W.O.? That is in the Mountains just north of Atlanta. As you know we are going the last weekend of March for March Badness. We are also planning a warm weather weekend where we are going to just go meet up with the 3%'ers and ride without the fuss of March Badness and if Atlanta does not have to be the destination, Jim has found some great roads around Wytheville VA which I would love to ride to one weekend during the season. The nice thing about Wytheville is that its only four hours away. |

More than likely.... There will be a TALL dude on a TDM 850 (Mike Morley) possibly my neighbor (Ron, Aprilia Futura), Matt (GSXR-750) and hopefully myself (XB9R). Usually pretty cold at 9 am but we seem to be the only ones who brave it. Could be another guy named Larry (CBR1000RR). I'll tell ya, if 1/2 of those guys show up, I'll be riding with Larry. It get's kinda fast with the other guys, at times. When I say fast I mean 120-150. But, I'm gonna definatley try to be out there and I will more than likely ride wherever Mike wants to ride. I'm actually heading out today in a little bit. See ya Mark |

Add one for the morning ride. All depending on when I get out the door, I will meet you at Bojanges in Jacksonville or on Old Maple Hill Rd. at 10am. Webe is going to meet up with me at Holland's Fish Camp at 12pm. Then we are riding to Moore's Creek. Sounds like fun and even though I have seen the north side of 130mph on two wheels, I rarely do it. I think Mike set a good pace last time. I would have gone a little faster in the curves but 70-80mph max on the straights is right up my alley. See ya in the morning |

Sorry I missed you guys. It was so cold this morning I went straight to Old Maple Hill Rd. Must have missed you guys. Webe met me at the Fish Camp and we rode to Moore's Creek and back. If you guys did not go to Old Maple Hill it was probably best because law enforcement was in the area. It seems that a State Trooper was either visiting someone on OMH or lives there because the patrol car was parked out front all day. Either way if we had more time Webe and I were going to go to opposite ends of the road both on our Orange Ulys and drive law enforcement nuts trying to figure how we were turning around so fast. Anyway - Sorry I missed you guys, it was a fun day. Put some 250-275 miles on the bike and this morning it was a mere 27°F outside when I left. |

Yeah, I got a late start. My neighbor, Ron, said you guys were there (Aprilia Futura) and I was just not up for goin in that cold. BUT.... around 1100 I headed out to Old Maple Hill then backed around to Haws Branch. Good Time. Didn't put too many miles on, that day. Had to go to HD New River to discuss my warped rotor and warranty. Should be handled soon. Better be, actually. I'm due to send my shock and forks into Trackside Engineering to get some work done for my girth!! Mark |

I was riding with them two weeks ago and luckily one of the guys noticed that my threads on my rear tire were showing. In one spot the threads were all most a inch wide! Those original 208's lasted only 2000 miles! I took off the wheels last night and I am going to take them in to get changed today hopefully. I did get the new rear shock on the M2 and she is already to go again. |

I hopefully will get my M2 back on the road this weekend. I have a few oil leaks to deal with, the fuel line is rotten and needs replacing, motor & trans oil replace and she should be ready to roll. The Contiforce suck for mileage as well. The worse mileage I have had one any tire to date, but I usually run sport-touring tires. I got 2600 miles out of my first Conti rear - 4500 miles out of the front tire. The second Conti rear has just over 2000 miles and it is at the wear bars. I am going to change the tire out before MBIV |

I have been really happy with the Avon Azaro's that I have on the M2. ( I'm not positive but I think I have between 8-10K miles on them). They will need to be changed soon though. I just put the New Avon Storm's on the Ss today. I am going to ride Sunday to scrub them in and see how they feel. |

Are the Storms the new Avon tire that they advertise will wear evenly throughout the radius of the tire? ie. No flat spot in the rear. I read something about that and was wondering how they will work. I will have to try out a set on the M2 when the D205s wear out. |

Well I am sure if all you did was ride in a straight line that would not be true but if they are better than the Azaro's that would be that much better! Because I love the Azaro's on the M2. For me they are the best tire that I have found for sport riding and long life. And if I am not mistaken they are made in USA. The name fits my bike too........Lightning /Storm. |

I usually ride Sunday mornings over at Old Maple Hill Rd. I liked riding with Mike and them but I don't usually have that much time on my hands to ride on Sundays. Where do you ride? I would like to ride with some other Buells. I could meet you some where if you have time. |
