I know this has been discussed but I cant find the exact answer searching. I bought a race ECU from blacksunshine and I cant wait to get it in. My 9s already had a race muffler on it from previous owner. My problem is I have no dealer in Wichita to reset the tps. The closest one is 110 miles away. Can I install the ecu and then drive the bike there? Or should I just bring it with me and install it in the parking lot? |

Bring it with you. Some bikes will run w/ the race ecm and no reset and some won't. Mine would not run at all. Just bring a couple of tools in your pocket and change it out yourself in the parking lot. It's real easy on the S. |

No way to tell for sure. It may start and run fine or you may not be able to start it all. When I put my race ECM in, it started and ran fine. I brought it to Liberty and had it reset anyway. The tech said it was the first time that he had seen one that was actually right on and required no adjustment but he reset it anyway. Only way to tell is to put it in and see what happens. More than likely it will not run right or not run at all. |

There is probably a Badwebber near you with vdsts to do a tps reset. A thread was started with Badwebbers that have vdsts and will reset the tps for free. |

Redponcho, Wichita, KS eh? Cool. Route 66 Buell in Tulsa is pretty Buell friendly. I also highly recommend Topeka HD/Buell. Looking at the map, Foreman HD/Buell in Stillwater, Ok is in the same range. |

The bad part about wichita is the only twisties are man made! I wish the local Harley shop would help but I will need to break in my new tires so I guess its a win win. |

American sportbike has the software you need. Look in the sponsor section. Great tool that has helped many on here. |
