Hi All, I bought a 2006 Kick Ash colored CityX in July and love it! Now I find that I have the urge to change the look a little just to kind of give it my own style (or lack there of ) I love the way it looks so I don't want to change it too much, just a little splash of something. Any suggestions? |

Go check out some of the sponsors of this site, like Hillbilly. There are lots of cool accessories out there. Also there is a neat thread on "show your custom Buell", or something like that, where you can see what others have done. I have a CityX, and I love it also! |

I've looked at those and been bowled over. I like getting ideas from whoever has them. And I knew the Badwebbers always have great ones. |

Nice!! I guess I should mention I don't want to void the warranty. I don't want to HAVE to fix it if I can avoid it. |

I like my HID, which is both functional and visually interesting. You could paint up the outside of the inner airbox as well, some cool things there. I love my 9sx, and don't meddle much with the functional bits. It works perfectly. |

Hey Terry! How is the cityx treating you? Hopefully it was a fun summer/fall. As per things to add, a lot of guys really like the select seat. It adds some pretty cool looks and a nice gel pad underneath you. My favorite part is that you don't slide around on it as much as the CityX seat. Other than that, some popular options are fork/swingarm sliders, different grips (Buell traction), maybe changing out your exhaust/intake. I can help you out with anything you want, and give the 10% discount for BadWebber's (thanks for buying the bike here too!). Josh |

I'll buy your outer airbox cover if you are looking to swap it out for something else. I did the HID upgrade as well. Best money spent. You might also look at different mirrors. The lollypops are ok, but something different could be better. I have the Rizoma 851's and love them. They came from another badwebber who had a CityX. DarkHorse moto has come very well made sliders. Black would look awesome. Cheese Grater eliminators are also very popular. (Message edited by ft_bstrd on February 10, 2007) |

My take on it was to categorize my customizations according to what was most important to me since available disposable income is finite. 1. Safety - Better tires, steering dampener, better brakes, etc. 2. Performance - Race kit, airbox conversion, etc. 3. Comfort - Seat, bars, pegs, etc. 4. Cosmetics - Chopped tail, Uly windscreen, paint, sprocket cover, etc. Safety was most important to me, so I started there. Then I moved on to performance, and so on. Several grand later, now I'm just getting started on cosmetics. Our bikes are a work in progress. Have fun with it and make it yours. I'm getting to the point where I really like what I've done with my bike so far, but there's always more I want to do. |

Hey Josh, Good to hear from you! Had a GREAT summer and fall...um...autumn better not say the F-word to loud, motorcycle gods might not like it. I've even done a little Winter riding, when there wasn't ice on the ground. I love the CityX and I hope The Self Man told you how much I dig it. Just looking for some ideas to make a little different. I have been super happy with it all around and anytime people ask the questions like "What is THAT?" I try to send some business your way. I'm hoping to get down your way this year. Thank you again for all of your help! And if I need to purchase anything you will be my first call! |

too short for the ULY, so the CityX is my work Mule. I make it dirt, tour, and sport bike. It does them all well and puts a grin on every time. Nice choice welcome to the family. Mine was originally Hero Blue, changed to Valencia orange and added the Uly front set.

Yeah a friend of mine has a Uly and I'm so short I can't get the silly thing off of the kickstand. The first time I saw a pic of your bike I wasn't sure what it was. I think I should have but it was a late night. I am partial to my Kick Ash body work but a color change is an idea. I could alway call Josh_Cox. |

How about getting a personalized plate that says "MINE"? |

Um..well..because I never thought about that. Of course paying it off would make it "mine" as well i suppose. |

Here is mine. Chopped tail(home made), cross roads 0 degree bars, third eye bar end mirrors. Special ops pipe, race ecm, and K&N filter. I am waiting on a select seat to arrive. Started out Hero blue, but I traded for the black plastics.
