Author Message   Moto Posted on Sunday, February 04, 2007 - 02:02 pm:        Greetings all. I'm brand new to this forum and a one year Uly owner. Great bike. Can anyone outside the US tell me if the block out plate that is on the Uly's right switch housing is used for a switch outside the US? I am installing driving lights and not sure where the best place to switch them would be. If I could get a switch from overseas that is used in that hole, that might be ideal. The turn signal switch from an 03 XB will "not" fit the unused hole in the right hand housing of an 06 ULY. I removed my right side housing to do the same switch swap you mentioned. Bought a used left side housing from a fellow BadWebber. Received housing today. Disassembled the (03)turn signal switch to find that the area around the rectangular hole is different than the (06) right side hole. Unfortunately it is to cold where my bike is to be messing with the plastic parts. I did not take apart my (06) left side. I figured on just popping the old (03) switch into my (06) housing. No joy! Sorry if this too long or confusing. I'll post an update as soon as I figure out another course of action.
