Greetings all. I'm brand new to this forum and a one year Uly owner. Great bike. Can anyone outside the US tell me if the block out plate that is on the Uly's right switch housing is used for a switch outside the US? I am installing driving lights and not sure where the best place to switch them would be. If I could get a switch from overseas that is used in that hole, that might be ideal. Thanks in advance. |

Good luck with your lights. I just put some on my Uly. I wired mine up so they come on when the high beams do. That way I didn't have to figure out the switch. |

So that vacant space that's blocked out on the right switch housing isn't used for anything anywhere in the world? |

Moto I can tell you this much for sure, (cost me 35 bucks for this lesson, you get it for free!) The turn signal switch from an 03 XB will "not" fit the unused hole in the right hand housing of an 06 ULY. I removed my right side housing to do the same switch swap you mentioned. Bought a used left side housing from a fellow BadWebber. Received housing today. Disassembled the (03)turn signal switch to find that the area around the rectangular hole is different than the (06) right side hole. Unfortunately it is to cold where my bike is to be messing with the plastic parts. I did not take apart my (06) left side. I figured on just popping the old (03) switch into my (06) housing. No joy! Sorry if this too long or confusing. I'll post an update as soon as I figure out another course of action. Peace Milo |

I said I would post an update, and I did. But I posted it to the BB&D thread here:http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/260657.html?1172497616 Sorry. Peace Milo |

Moto, Court posted in the BB&D thread, that the manufacturer of these switchs/housings is C.E.V. Peace Milo |

Oooops. . . I screwed up and had my years wrong. Buell last used swtiches from C.E.V. in 1998. |
