they had some cool stuff this year. At the Detroit IMS; A XB12R with cut away sections. Tons of bikes to sit on. A XB12S with Bubba's paint on in in a wheelie pose. The obligitory "leaning stand" bike. FREE T-shirts. Some jackets and other accesories to oogle. And a cool video playing and Buell Spec books. Here are a few pics And the shirt

At the NY show, my whole family got T-shirts. They didn't care about registrations, keys or even if we said we owned Buells (although we told them we had a couple in the family). We just asked. They had both men's and women's sizes. In Men's, there were L, XL and 2XL (I think) and they also had a woman's size M. Nice shirts; even nicer for the price. |

Pick up one of the free Tees...they are very nice. Consequently, I had mine given to me by Shawn Higbee at the Cleveland show. |

Buellshyter, I find it odd too after they told folks they were out of them When I got your request I contacted Buell marketing and got the SOL line with a note that "we can't even get shirts for ourselves". My apologies. I gave you what had been represented to me as accurate information by the marketing folks. It, quite obviously, was not. |

I got a shirt at the NY show but all they had was large at the time, Sunday. Didn't really care to see proof of ownership. |

In Long Beach my dad and I were told that there weren't any shirts. |

Spiderman, The angle you shot the new Buell model shows the side plates to their best advantage. They're not simply flat but have a nice contoured shape. I see why people say they look much better in person. |

I went to the Minneapolis IMS yestersday. The most interesting thing from H-D was the new XL 1200 N Nightster. The Buell display seemed the same as any other year. Seemed like a lot more people looking at the Ulys than at the XBTT. The highpoint for me was talking with fellow badweb member Jim,(VR 1203) at the Cycle World booth. He's got the S1 with VR style bodywork and turbo neatly tucked under the engine. What a knowlegable guy. He was supposed to have the bike featured in an"American Flyers" segment in Cycle World, but it hasn't happened yet. I must have sat on every Motard type bike I could at the show (too bad the Ducati was roped off). They all have one thing in common, brick-like seats. After seeing all the world has to offer in motorcycles, i'm still pretty happy with my decision to buy my Uly last year. Tim |

Thanks, Fastfxrs I talked to alot of people over the weekend, hopefully steered some to a life of turbo! It was a experience and we're home(left early) OK in spite of the extreme cold! |
