I didn't know that but Buell ships it's bikes through Harley and I believe from points east of the Mississippi through the York plant. Overseas european shipping was listed as shipping through the Port of Baltimore. There was a flow chart up at the York plant that outlined the HD company tree. |

I hope the Buell folks are not on strike. Shippers can be substituted. Builders cannot. Depending on how long the strike lasts, there may be several sales folks becoming familiar with Buells. |

Buell is non-union. Non of the reasons or benefits of a union make any sense at Buell. It's been voted on previsouly and there is no/little interest. Buell employees have enough say in how/what they do they have little interest in having someone "represent" them. Buells heading to points East of the Mississippi River USED to (and proably still do) go via Harley-Davidson Truck to York where they were loaded on common carriers FFT (for further transfer). I do not know if the instant situation, which will be resolved as soon as invnetory levels are where HD needs them I'm sure, will impact Buell delivery. |

I live in York and have several family and friends that work at the H-D plant both as union members and H-D management. The company is losing over 2 Million per day so I don't think it will last long, however both sides are pretty far apart. I see both sides of the argument and just hope a workable solution is reached soon. This will trickle down to Buell but not to the point where it hurts business. |
