Here is a pic I dug up somewhere, so I know it has been done. Anybody have any experience doing this? I can get an old glass hack, only issue is finding the mounts. Which can be a big issue. |

that would be mine, since it says Bart's Buell on it! Actually, the mounts shouldn't be a problem if you know a good fabricator and welder. |

I can cut and weld. The problem with a Buell is there's no bottom frame rail. Normally on a sidecar the two lower mounts are the strongest. So I'm wondering, first of all, how to get around not having a lower frame rail. Even more important, how does it handle? |

The guy to ask about mounting a hack to a Buell is Doug Bingham of Side Strider. He's installed a Velorex SC to a Cyclone owned by a Glendale BRAG member. How does it handle? OK, if you know how to drive one, otherwise, weird and dangerous -- like all sidecars would be if you didn't know. |

I'll admit I don't know the first thing about sidecars. But if you look closely at that picture, you'll see a mount going up to the front brace that holds one of the helm joints. There's another where the tank & tailsection meet. I'd venture to guess there's one more on the tubing used for the passenger pegs. Interesting concept. But I'm not sure why you'd use an S1 |

If you can't wheelie with a side hack on there I don't want it

Sparky, thanks, I emailed Doug and he's sending me some info. Dennis- sidecars are easy to wheelie, except you're going side-up instead of front-up. Dog really digs it. |

Why bother, Get one of these!!!!! Dnepr MT10-36 They can be found on Ebay for about the same price your going to pay for a sidecar/mounts to put on a Buell
Also, with respect to driving a bike with a hack, basically take everything you know about riding a motorcycle, throw it out and relearn. (Message edited by Newfie_Buell on January 31, 2007) |

I only want one bike in my life, and it ain't a neeper. My buddy lived on a Ural for a few years, he averaged a motor a year. Even with free parts from the factory that's a lot of hassle. Plus they're slower than scat. This is my other bike. If I can rig up a hack to my M2 then I can sell the shovel. I only want one bike in my life. I can get an old glass hack and generic mounts for under a grand. I just have to see how to rig the lower mounts to a tube frame, build a subframe, whatever. |

what about the frames that they use for stunts and incorporating that into the sidecar. |
