Hey Paw...hang in there...yes, everything seems so fragile and frightening during times like these, but babies are amazingly tough little people. you'll see. and with no disrespect intended to the medical field, sometimes we as a human race know too much about what we humans have been managing to do for the past XXXXXX years, eh? |

Toxemia is nothing to mess with and keeping your wife where they can keep her monitored 24/7 is a smart move. Ditto that, glad to hear news is good, prayers for you and family !! |

Paw, I am in Rotterdam, NY and I wish you, your wife, and future child the best. My daughter is just 10 months old and I so know how nerve-racking it can be (especially when it isn't totally textbook). I am glad to read of the good news in this thread and just know it will work out for you and your family. -Eric |

This is full of ups and downs. When they thought they had the toxemia under control they stopped the magnesium sulfate and her B.P. went through the roof. They just induced her at 3 pm friday with poor results at 11 pm, I cant remember what it called but their trying to soften her cervix. If nothing comes of it after 12 hours they will do a C-section sometime Saturday evening. This has really taken it toll on us so far. I had to run home to get more insulin and figured i would jump on here real quick to update you guys on the process. I'm going to assume next time i'm on here i should be a new daddy. I think when spring comes around i will be selling the X1. Going to need the money. Ok have to go thank you all again. Paul |

We are praying, you are in the home stretch. That was probably Cervadil (however its spelled). You still have time, once things start progressing they can snowball pretty quickly and you can go from 2cm to 8cm in an hour. C-Sections, aside from the "thats a really freaky thing to watch" factor, are really straightforward surgeries these days. So if thats where you end up, it's not a huge deal. We are praying! |

Hoping all goes well today. The great thing is that once your wife delivers, the Toxemia is gone. Our best to you all. |
