I am interested in adding a Powerlet outlet to my 05 CityX so that I can run my iPod off it. I'm hoping to mount the iPod using a RAM mount so I'd like for the outlet to be somewhere close to the handlebars. Has anyone done this? If so, would you have any pictures you can post. Are there other alternatives? Thanks for the help. |

Grab the fairing housing and windshield assembly from the Ulysses. And a repair manual. All the dimensions are the same, no idea of cost though. |

Have you considered the Powerlet "Powerbar"? Kinda costly, but very clean solution: http://www.powerletproducts.com/products/pkt052.ph p Another option, though not as clean: http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?I tem=MS-MAJ FYI - Bought the RAM mount for my iPod nano, but haven't used it yet... haven't run with tunes yet on the Buell, but have a full-on Autocom setup in my Beemer tankbag. Autocom combines audio signals for iPod, XM radio, cell phone, and bike-to-bike... only one cable connects to helmet, and a single 12Vdc line powers all the components (via DC adapters) in tankbag. Autocom is 2 thumbs up. |
