Look at those gay pushrod tubes! Damn tubers anyhow. Rooke's work ain't too bad, not my style, Sand's stuff I like, but a little too "Pimp" most of the stuff I like usually occurs from the fine folks who inhabit this place, if I remember right I think you have a damn fine exhibit yourself Bads1. Smoke I think mr. Spanktastic was refering to the sliders-which are chrome, and not too long ago before plastic bumpered cars came about, chrome actually served a purpose as the coating was harder than Sgt. Hulka, cheap to apply(before the EPA got ahold of it), lasted a coon's age, and looked spiffey-well not to you I guess   | |||

Good point Ceejay... Kinda forget that chrome once had a utilitarian purpose. IN highschool I drove a 67 Fairlane. One day this guys 80-something firebird went dead while pulling out of the parking lot. He and his friends pushed it backwards while his girl steered the car. Anyway it started rolling down hill, got away from them, and before the girl could think to hit the brakes it smashed right into the back of my parked Fairlane. I ran up ready to kick someone's head in, only to start laughing when I saw the damage. It had smashed his bumper, trunk lid and tail light and didn't even scratch the chrome on my rear bumper. I like you guys! its to bad that people get so butt hurt, and take ---- so seriously! see, there's a perfect example of a good chrome job! forget cleaning it, how about riding it or passing it on a bright sunny day!!! thats got to be illegal. I saw a Jaguar that was completely polished like that and it was just a show car for that reason. life is to short to get worked up over stupid ---- like weather or not chrome looks good or if Roland Sands is a tool or not. good work is good work!!! | |||

First of all, if you can win a national roadracing championship on anything you're pretty frickin' fast. At the time the 250GP's were big and pretty hotly contested. Second, he crashed doing a rolling burnout for the camera's. Third, nobody is worshiping this guy, but when did your Buell make 150 hp and have the best suspension and brake systems currently available to anyone, shiny or not? I like any bike with big balls. Rick its a twin cam 124. My brother has one in his Road King. Its got a V&H 2 into 1 pipe. Nothing else done 130 hp at the tire. Now what do you think that motor is pushing after Kendall finished with it. To what I've been told by Brian Nallin last summer theres lots of room for work in the heads and with alittle head work and cams 140 is easy. I'm with you Rick that bike has to kick A$$. | |||

I never suggested you wanted a bike from Roland Sands. I merely suggested that there's nothing wrong with clip-ons, big horsepower, custom sportbike frames, gas charged Ohlins forks and shocks or monoblock brake calipers and such. I have a stripped to the bone S1 with a lot of chassis and motor mods. My profile pics are about 3 years old and a lot has changed since then. Yeah, I like Harleys, too, if they're built on the sporting side...that's my opinion...I'm not asking anyone to agree. I'm not offended at all...and I never said I liked chrome. I don't believe anyone asked for anyone's input...and I don't believe people turn gay due to chrome. I just don't see the point in insulting others over opinions. For instance, what point would there be in my stating that military aircraft graphics on a bike and helmet are gay, other than confrontation? I see the ensuing squabble as a total waste of time, despite the entertainment factor. | |||
