Buell announced today that the annual Homecoming will be during the weekend of July 5-8 which is the same weekend as the CCS Festival of Speed at Road America. http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?artic le=28023 Since I've attended several of the Homecomings, this works out great as far as I'm concerned! How cool will it be to race in front of the Buell faithful!! Is anyone staying in Fond Du Lac, taking advantage of the lower room rates? Maybe we can use this thread to get all the racers together! |

I know you aren't a camper Ralph, but there is camping at the track. That's where I'll be staying. There are some Hotels a lot closer that may not be any more expensive than the one CCS has a deal with in Fond Du Lac. But getting a everyone together is a good idea. We all have to at least pit together! |

Ya Rocco, it will be a fun time. MotoST, 3 hours, pit stops, oh ya...... Definately staying in the pits. Lots of Buells for everyone to see in action on the track. |

I know you aren't a camper Ralph, but there is camping at the track. What kind of real man isn't "a camper"? Do some folks actually think they are too good to sleep on the ground?} I love to camp off of my bike...and I am an old man! |

To answer Jimidan's question... My idea of camping is Motel 6, I already have reservations in Plymouth for the weekend. I've done several track days at R.A. and I know their accomidations are very nice for camping but it's just not my program. Regardless, I'm really looking forward to that weekend!! What do you suppose the odds of Buell releasing their new models a few weeks early at this event would be?? |

I hear ya Ralph. Hotels/Motels are the way to go. But sometimes it's fun to hang out at the track after everyone else has left. BTW, I'll have plenty of room under the EZ UP for your bike. Plus I'll be able to keep an eye on it when you're gone. Hoping to have a XB of my own by then too!! Still looking. Have some I'm interested in. We'll see. |

BTW, I can't imagine that the timing of the races and the new model release is pure accident. |

Rocketsprink, Thanks for the offer!! Don't get me wrong I'm planning on hanging out at the track as long as I can, too. I'm sure there will be alot of Buellers around so it should be several days of camaraderie. |

I'll be there racing my XB12R. My van and e-z up will be my home in the paddock for the weekend. The shower/restroom facilities are pretty good and there are a limited number of electrical hook-ups. It's always fun to go into town for a couple of beers at Seibkens Lodge and some bench racing. |
