Mike...I feel your pain and my brother keeps calling me from SoCal with his "damn, it's hot out here" stories....I'd move west in no time...I was born and raised in warm weather so the winter bums me out |

my wife says i have "seasonal allergy depression". someday i'll live where you "visit" the snow, it doesn't come to you. have buddies in phoenix, az and richmond, va always telling me how great it is! gonna depend on what my property is worth. someday, until then i keep paying these crazy taxes, it's an investment i keep telling myself. socal probably is off the list as the taxes i'm guessin are as bad as here. |

For a stay at home Mom, everyday is Monday - LOL! That's why I'm so looking forward to MBIV. I love my children, but weekends away are a welcome treat. BTW - is it March yet? |

I've gotten a few e-mails from some invitees to MB-IV. Y'all could just be in for a very famous/notorious March Badness. Stay tuned! |

You think you are getting away from your kids? I'm sure there will be enough "children" at MB to fill the void... just ask my wife |

when we doing the video run? you wanna see if we can set a date? I am thinking late February would be good. Let's see how the weather shapes up. We should set a tentative Plan A and Plan B and see when Mother Nature wants to cooperate. |

We should set a tentative Plan A and Plan B and see when Mother Nature wants to cooperate. Well I know MN, so we may ought to have a C and D plan as well. |

I don't know if this has been asked, but since you have touched on it here, is MBIV rain or shine? It seems like it would have to be with so much scheduling involved. Was rain or cold an issue on the previous MB events? Don't even think I'm trying to put a whammy on the event! My wife asked because I'm trying to get her to go. How far away would be a campground for a fifth-wheel camper. Are any BadWeb riders bringing large campers? (She really doesn't like the idea of tent camping but she rides a Buell so I can forgive her for that). |

If it's rain, tell your wife we have a great cabin with gas logs and comfy chairs not far from TWO, she's welcome to come and hang out with us! Several wives from C3 are going to MB, tell her to come and join us. Last year the weather was beautiful. Needed a jacket in the AM and during the evening hours. Wore short sleeve shirts during the daytime. Hoping for the same weather this year! |

MB-I: It was windy and coolish, with rain in the evening. MB-II: It was coolish, with a little rain after dark. MB-III: Beautiful weather. MB-I&II were held in early March. MB-III was held at the end of March, like this one. I've got a feeling we'll have pretty close to the same weather as MB-III. Vern, try to get in touch with Vogel State Park. It's really close by, and easy to get to with a large camper, RV, or 5th wheel. http://ngeorgia.com/parks/vogel.html |

Yeah, last year is rained like CRAZY most of Friday night, but stopped early and dried up by about 9am. I was VERY glad to have bought an extra rain tarp on my way out... it saved me big time. Especially considering that I left the rain fly for my tent at home... DOH! The rest of the weekend was B-E-A-Utiful. |

Glitch, thanks for the info. Way back in this thread someone asked what decals I was inquiring about for MBIV. I was thinking those small one like on the helmets. Just simply put the persons BadWeb name on it. Then find a mutually agreeable spot for attachment, like on the front fender or fly screen. I think those helmet type decals are about 1 1/4" X 2 1/4" or so. Just black with white letters, good vinyl, so it can be removed without leaving a mess. Simple, small, easy, and cheap. Like so many of us in real life! |

Vern - do you have someone in mind for the decals? I can check with the folks who did our C3 decals and there is the following conversation going on a few threads down. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=4062&post=813400#POST813400 |

Scenery for sure! I've been over the mountains many many times on my Buells. I had the wife on the road last summer on her Blast, to do the Cherohala Skyway then spend the night at the Phillips Hotel in Robbinsville. We were then going to ride to Cherokee and over New Found Gap back to home. My Uly was three months old and ninety miles in my clutch cable broke. We rode twenty miles back to where I had signal. Sm Mtn HD was there in about 45 minutes to trailer my bike in under warranty(pretty awesome). My disappointment for canceling the trip was that it took four months for everything to come together for she and I to make that trip. Her job schedule, the weather, over night accommodations, and mostly convincing her that she could do it(she's a thousand mile rookie). I get over there twice a month or so with other riders or by myself, she and I rode two up on the Uly to Rock Hill SC. She likes riding with me but is done at about 120 miles and I'm just getting started about then. But hey, only 64 days left! Will I ride alone with a tent?.....will i trailer two bikes with a big a$$ camper and a truck?.....will I bring the bikes in the pickup and we stay in a motel?.....I really HATE hauling a perfectly good bike any where.....the suspense is killing me. |

Or you can do what we're doing. Carlos is riding the Uly to the Dragon Thursday night and riding with everyone Friday. He'll head to the Meet and Greet that afternoon with NEBO, Hudson Valley and whoever else is on the Dragon. I'll be trailering the M2 with all the supplies straight to TWO. He gets to ride, I have all the supplies and his 2nd bike. We're both happy. I'm going to recruit someone to help me unload the M2 and leave it at TWO. Xbrad9r and his wife are staying in a hotel not far from TWO. Tracie will probably hang out at TWO or the Cabin with the C3 wives. I have a Suburban, so if we decide to venture out, there's room for 8 of us! |
