I wonder if buell considered putting the parts manuals on the buell website.....PDF format. I know I like to just browse. |

That would be a big file. The XBRR catalog is 73 pages. |

This not a new steering damper ! I saw it few years ago, I think it was made by Woodcraft ( or something like this ), they were making race parts for Buell. |

Well whoever makes it, it is compact and pretty. Wish it fit the Lightning. What other goodies fit our street bikes? --Sean |

The mounting hardware does look identical to the Woodcraft kit I got years ago when they were selling them. |

Steering stabilizer kit is: J2402.06AH for the 41mm kit J1402.06ah for the 43mm kit They both retail for $414.00 so, the BadWeb price will be $372.60. These kits have been available for some time from Buell Racing (7/5/06), and use the same Ohlins dampers as the XBRR. I'd have to contact Buell Racing to check stock, but they are usually quick to deliver anything I order. Josh These will only fit the Firebolt models. Firebolt only. Too bad, I'd really like to put one on my Uly. |

If you "massage" the headlights a little, it will work on the Uly & Lightening too! |

So is it possible to purchase a copy of the manual and if so how do I go about doing this? TIA |

If you "massage" the headlights a little, it will work on the Uly & Lightening too! How much "surgery" are we talking about here? Do you think I can keep my beak with it installed, as I have my light bar/PIAA 1100X on the same mounts? Thanks |

Yohinan, I contacted Buell about distributing the manual. At this time, they would prefer we not. I assume they want to make some revisions still/develop a hard copy to sell. Paochow, Your headlights would need to be spaced forward. The current configuration would have it hitting the back of your headlights. |

Thanks for clarifying Josh. It looks like I could move the headlight forward pretty easily with a few small spacer brackets. Do you think it would cause any issues with the Uly Beak? It looks like the top rear portion of the beak may interfere as well. Looking at the other pics, looks like I may have to lower my light bar as well as currently it the top of it sits about 1/2" above the top of the lower triple clamp. Not a big deal since I have still have 2 ft left of the aluminum bar stock. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/garage.php?do=vie wattachment&attachmentid=32956 Looks like you are the go-to guy for Buell parts, especially with Daves leaving for the world of Archery. I foresee your phone ringing a lot in the coming year. Keep up the good work. |
