Has anyone attempted to make side racks for hard bags? I want my X1 to be more of a tourer and not into the soft bags. I was thinking of buying Givi sidebags or Pelican cases and creating my own side luggage racks. I guess I can purchase other side racks that will mount to the hard cases and then modify them to mount to the Buell. Anyone attempt this? |

The tail was drilled in 4 places and plastic coated screw eyes were placed there for bungee chords. I would to utilize these holes to attach cross members there, then bolt the rack to the passenger pegs and tail bolts. I'm sure a welder could fab something for me but wanted to know if anyone had luck with this and had blue prints. |
