I laid my CityX down last week. I got a new mirror and chrome front brake lever (they didn't have black ones in stock anywhere in town). Does that count? It's not necessarily the best look, but it certainly has character. -Heath |

I'm working my XB12Scg. I will do a detailed post when done. Long story short, the Crossroads XBS bars are a major improvement over stock but I was not happy with them. Never heard anything but positive but to me they look inelegant and clunky. Also they hide the preload adjuster lines. I really like the work of the, 3% Bragging Rights Club and their XB12S: Firebolt Clip-ons. Check out the link and hats off to them:
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/96480.html?1121334427 I chose not to follow their lead though. I did not want to loose the handlebar lock, it looked difficult and I come up with a more appealing option, at least to me. To give credit where it is do Trojan did it first. No more preload adjuster line issues and I like the clean look of the ,YES, Crossroads clip-ons.
http://www.britnett-carver.co.uk/trojanhorse/prods/233.html The problems are: 1, there is not enough clearance between the shock tube and instrument module fairing. 2, Throttle cables are to long. 3, Clutch cable needs to be rerouted. Their solution to the clearance problem was simple. They used spacers to move the instrument module forward. The problem is the steering lock again, not working. You will also note they did not remove the original handlebar saddles. My solution is to trim the sides of the instrument module fairing and raise the instrument unit up about half an inch. Replace the throttle cables with the shorter XBR cables and remove the handlebar saddles from the top triple-tree. I'm also installing heated grips. Eventually, I'll try making the module parts in carbon fiber.
