I'm liking the parking job. That's a good looking bike you've got there by the way. Post some side shots for us. |

That is Roland Sands and he built the bike for a biker build off on discovery. |

I like everything about that bike except that sparkle red paint. It always reminds me of the car rides at amusement parks... or bass boats. |

Well, there must be something awfully cool in front of that bike, because, outside of the photographer, that is where everybody else in the picture has their eyes focused. |

They are probably lookin at Jesse Rooke on his B.B.O. bike that Roland competed against. It was a KTM powered rigid with girder style forks if I remember right. |

Rasta Dog Observant eye! The photographer naturally expects us to see what he/she want’s us to see. Would be cool to know if Tbolt’s right. Cheers FunJimmy |

I just figured it had to be something pretty cool, like another bike, or maybe some boobies! |

Looks more like one of those "Damn that really wasn't a good idea!" pics. And for him being fast, yeah on a GP250 maybe. Speed is such a subjective term. Smokescreen |

Smokescreen, I bet he's fast on that bike. Doesn't need to be a 250GP bike. The bike pictured above has plenty HP and all it geometry is based off of 2004 GSXR 1000. The bike is actually very capable. |

Like I said, Speed is a subjective term. I will let you spec sheet warriors fight it out yourselves. I don't go to the track and I don't drag either. I ride the street, now tell me what good would that bike be for that? Nice bike or not it doesn't satisfy the requirements I have for a motorcycle. Plus I think Roland Sands is a complete tool. Chrome is gay no matter how it's hung. Smokescreen |

I see no chrome on the bike first off. Two do you know Roland personally to call him a tool??? I doubt!!! Three the bike is pushing well over 100HP with sportbike geometry specs with a air cooled American V-twin. So riding on the street it would be a great bike. And chrome is gay know matter how its hung??? Gay is a Opinion you used or is that subjective also the way you used it.lol Funny how people voice opinions about things they don't know about or understand. |

Look at the F**king engine. Does any Buell have chrome like that. This is a Buell site. If you want to worship Mr. Sands, I 'm sure he has an ass-kissing email address you can write. As far as him being a tool, your spot on. It is subjective, he, is a tool. He likes to use expensive S**t on his bikes and that makes him great how? 100hp? That's it? That's pathetic compared to the S&S engines he could have used. Why come up short when money's no object? That my friend is why he's a tool. And yes, it's my opinion. So stealing Suzuki's engineering research makes him original right? Wrong. Smokescreen |

Yeah I'm looking at the engine... it looks like billet aluminum to me... big difference. Does Buell have chrome like that. Yeah the primary and cam covers on all pre 1999 model years are polished aluminum. He likes to use expensive shit on his bike because it makes him look great?? You said that not me. He is the son and designer for PM performance that also built the wheels as option for all pre 2002 Buells. Also he has the money to use expensive parts and can afford it....I would to if I could. 100HP and thats it??? I didn't say that, you no read so good. I said it was well over 100 HP. I don't remember quite off the top of my head what it puts out HP wise but if I remember right above 130. So really he didn't spare any expense did he. Doe it make him a tool?? No I think he bring some fresh air to the Chopper world and also make him some what of a rebel to it. Steal Suzuki's engineering?? Where do you see that. All the big four sportbikes are using very close to the same geometry. Nothing stolen there. The bike is using a chromoly steel tube frame. Do you see a aluminum box frame anywhere??? I don't!! BadS1 Ooooop's one last thing.... the engine is S&S powered. So what do you mean by what he could have chose??lol (Message edited by bads1 on January 25, 2007) |

Polished billet aluminum is the same thing to me. You like that shiney stuff fine. All pre-2002 Buells have it? Who said anything about tubers? I own an XB. Didn't even know what the **** a tuber was till I found Badweb. Yeah, your right, he is the son of PM. That makes him special how? Money? I know enough people with money, and most of 'em are a**holes too. The engine is an S&S, I know. You think he built that engine himself? You chopper guys assume way to much. Those biker build-off guys are assemblers. They contract out fabrication too much to be called a chopper now. Choppers are origianally another bike, unless I am mistaken. You said the GSX-R 1000 not me. Why that one then if they are all close to the same? And chromoly steel tubing isn't original either. Or is it new in the Chopper world? Your logic is pretty screwed up man. Like I said all pre 1999 models not 2002.You don't read good. Did I say he was special?? I don't remember saying that. You know that it was a S&S engine?? No you didn't. You said in a prior post that" thats pathetic compared to the S&S engines could have used. I don't know if he built the engine... who care's. Even if he didn't I'm quite sure he has enough knowledge to accurately tell the engine builder whats expected. You chopper guy's?? I'm not a Chopper guy, never will be but I respect what some of the builder produce. I said GSXR because he in a interview said it was the same. Why maybe because thats what suits him, maybe he like that geometry.Chromoly isn't orginal...either is aluminum box frame but tubing does add lots of character and it is very rigid and strong. If you have better idea's maybe you give it go?? Why your impossible I don't know. I also don't understand your logic at all but thats ok. |

I thought this was cool buell pics not bitch about non sence, I agree with you bolth, I don't like chrome or polished, but that is a bad ass bike! chrome has it's time and its place, personaly not for me, but thats my opinion. and thats why I fabricate so I can biuild my opinion! Smokescreen, if you want to see blacked out check out my bike on my page!!! PS. i'm sure you still have a little chrome on your bike. "look at your forks" try and get rid of that! PEACE!!! |

Yeah I know it was getting late Smokey and past my bed time. Love Roland .... Nah but I like his work and Jesse Rourke's work. Its different and far away from the chopper main frame. Smoke you could really get in alot of trouble for beating a horse. |

Spank, Who said anything about black? If you check my profile you'll see there isn't much black on my bike at all. This is a discussion board, and we, are discussing the gayness of chrome. As for my forks, I know, it's called anodize. Ohlins does it, and so can you. Money always seems to be the issue with more mods. And if I had the time and money, I would be fabricating everything under the sun too. So it looks like what I want it to. I don't own a machine shop, so I'll just buy the next best thing, MY BUELL.
