Can I do it? I have all the hardware and brackets. Just lack the familarity with the anatomy of S3T to visualize how the brackets fit on that bike in relation to how it will fit on the M2. My next step is to find a mounting diagram for the S3T at a dealer and see it that helps. I realize that there will be some modification but where and what on is the question. THANKS for any help you can provide. | ||

This is going to be my winter project if I can get it started with the S3T diagram the trouble is trying to get to a dealer b/4 they close. Darn winter hours! Rex let me know how your project progresses please. Would be nice to be able to have someone to share ideas with. Thanks | ||

Oooo, I would be VERY interested in that if somebody were to make a kit or write-up on how to install them. I'm going to have to make a brace of some sort so my soft bags stay away from the tire. | ||

iv'e kind of wondered about the uly bags on the m2 since the s3t bags are getting fewer and far between. the buell soft bags have held up pretty good over the years and even survived a hit but it would be nice to have solid bags like the ultra and my fxrt has, especially if riding in the rain. | ||

The frame for the luggage bolts to the rear foot pegs at the bottom. At the top it bolt up to the frame where my mud flap/lisence is retained. Hope that might help. Don't know how long the frame is on the M2 and rear foot peg locations is compared to the S3. Joe | ||

I have the diagram  for the S3t and the bracket should mount on the M2 with minimal modification. | ||

Hey Guys! The project is still in mock up. Meaning that the S3 bracket is wedge in under the seat to see where and if the bracket needs to cut, heated and bent, or modified. Have had several suggestions to cut 1 inch square stock in half and use on the frame for easier mounting. Should have more time this weekend as the temp will finally be above 0 and the heater in the garage will kind of work. As for the S3 diagram I have no scanner to get it to you however the local Buell dealer should have on hand. Bad_karma I will take any pictures that would remotely help. Thanks m2statz | ||

If it will help, here is a link to the mounting instructions for the 90509-99Y soft bags for the M2. http://users.adelphia.net/~jackerbes/Buell/90509-9 9Y.jpg You can see the bracket in the photos on that and also how the straps were used to keep the bags away from the wheels: That will not be readable if you go to the link, instead you want to right click and save the 90509-99Y.jpg image.
