Shiney Boy, we weren't going to be able to go until around 2 or 3 anyway. Micro-Stud works at the gym until noon and Kdan won't even think about letting the Kid-lings go until 2 PM-ish. If we talked him in to it I was going to meet Micro somewhere off the Perimeter Mall exit around 2 PM and head up 400 to meet Kdan at his place then he knows some pretty cool back roads between Alpharetta and Canton. OR...get Kdan to meet me at 400/285 and us slide over to Stone Mtn area and hook up with some of you guys over there so we can take Micro on a tour of the back roads on that part of town. |

I was reading Motor Cyclist's article about their long term test on the DR-Z400S, you know, my next bike (read 2nd bike}), and I noticed on the page next to the article, an ad for Maxxis tires. Looks like the squids have taken over the Vortex, also looks like they're kind of lacking a crowd...

NO TRADE! Acksel is more than I can handle right now for sure. Guy never called or came by so I still have the Bird. The V in a rag with squids, that is what they get for firing Kimber. |

Track Mania is pretty cool! Thanks for the heads up RA! No problem Glitch. What is your screen name on there? I'll look you up next time I'm on there. One word of warning about that game... once you get competitive.. it gets quite addicting. My favorite hangout is the Formula 1 track server. I have been known to be on that server from 10am to 6pm on a rainy saturday or sunday. Sunshine, I guess Ima hafta find me somadat OCD. I am even worse about going to a gym, which is why I bought the bowflex. I figured if all I had to do was walk to the next room to work out, I would do it more... but the convenience may also be working against me too. I think I also may need to find a way to mix up my workouts. I think I was getting bored doing the same thing every time. When I was studying Yoseikan Budo (a mixture of Aikido, Jujutsu, judo, etc.) we used to do a lot of work with the heavy bags practicing strikes and kicks. That was fun, and I can attest to how fast that will wear you out.} |

"TWO isn't open this time of year, though" I talked to GT two Saturdays ago,and he said they will be open for lunch when the weather permits. The lodge and campground are closed for the season. If you get up there and they are closed, Dale is cooking some pretty tasty grub,at the BP. |

Changed the oil in the pony tonight and I noticed some metal shavings on the plug magnet. I know some is normal but I can't remember how much was on it last time. How much is "normal"? The end of the plug looked round with metal. The magnet pin was completely covered. I change every 2500 miles. |

Can't even see his kid...The court order had asked if she was involved with anyone and she sighed it NO!!!! with three under lines. I've been taking Pics of them all week. I feel like Magnum P.I except no gun. Thanks to the ATF... I hope to have them back in a couple of weeks when they fix their mistakes and get me off their list. Its been a rush sneaking around, taken pics and following them. Ya'll better keep your blinds shut at night |

Might dust off the sled and take it out for a blast with ya this weekend. What was the name of the new bar Kimber is working at? Might be nice if we all dropped in on her unexpectedly. |

"Forgot to ask if anyone was up for riding in the hills on sunday?" I plan on riding Sunday. Who in your group has a Drummer. And how does it compare to your Special Ops can, Shred? (Message edited by buellish on January 12, 2007) |

What is your screen name on there? Glitchster. Glitch was already taken by some idiot. Buellish: They are damned near the same, the sound as well as the power. If you're talking about the old style Drummer that is. The DrummerSS has the best sound of any can I've heard so far, nice mellow rumble. With the 12 engine there's not a can out there (without ECM tuning or PC3) that really gets a major power kick, so it's mainly for the sound. The Odie pipe is IMHO the best bang for the buck. Sounds awesome! Louder than the DrummerSS, but about the same as the old style Drummer. All of this is of course only my opinion. |

Buellish..I have a drummer. The special ops has a meaty grunt where the drummer has a louder growl. That probably doesn't help much. You'll just have to hear it for yourself. Its hard to describe. Watch out for "Pping Shred" |

I have ridden Shreds 12 and found the Special Ops can a bit loud and boomie (sp), for my taste. I have a Buell race ECM to mount when I get a muffler.I just hate to buy something and hope I like the sound. |

If you can get the Buell Race can, that's what I would recommend. I had an Odie can, and it was too loud for me, so I went back to the Buell race can. If you've got the money I'd say get the Micron full system. It comes with a custom mapped ECM, and the sound isn't more than the Race until you really get on it, then it sings. |

Buellish, The best way I can describe the difference in sound between the drummer and spec ops is; The spec Ops pipe is has more of a 'blat' rumble, where the drummer has more of a 'thud' rumble. I think the spec ops pipe is a little louder at idle than the drummer, but I don't know about at speed. A guy I ride with says that my bike, with the special ops pipe, sounds a bit like a ducati when I am running about 5K rpm. I have a 9sx, not the 12. |

I'm down for whatever. Maybe a run up 60? RBR to Unicoi Gap and back? Or we can keep it local. Buellish, don't forget about the Jardine. It has the lowest power dip at 4,500 RPM. Plus Al and I are still working on the custom map for the 984 with the Jardine and an open airbox. It should be done pretty soon. Just another option. |

Yeah, there are 4, maybe 5 of us planning on taking a local run. We were talking about leaving around 1:30-2 PM from either 285/Roswell Rd to do an Alphretta to Woodstock back road run that Kdan knows but I think we would rather meet at SMHD and follow Glitch and you through some back roads in that area. We really enjoyed it the last time we road down in that area. |
