I`ve looked all over the web and can`t seem to find anyone who carries Gilles for Buells. Does anyone know where I can pick up a black pair of Gilles rearsets for an 07 XB12ss? Thanks, Don | ||

I tried the website, but couldn't find anything on their website. I also sent an email to them, but got no response. Anybody else know of any other seller? | ||

They don't show Gilles for Buells on their website, but they are a Gilles stockist, so ring them. If I wanted any item from any supplier I pick up the phone. Emailing is a time consuming process most of the time, and specific information seems lost in translation most often. The Gilles page is here Rocket | ||

Their website says they don't list anything for a 12Ss. Do other XB models share the 12Ss foot hardware, otherwise if the Ss is different from the rest of the XB's........ Let us know how you get on. Rocket | ||

That`s a very good question. I honestly don`t know about the other models out there. In fact I just bought my SS last Saturday and I`m already changing a lot of things. I had the dealer put a cheese-grater eliminator on it ,along with a new seat. Love the bike, but the controls have got to go. Plan to add either Beringer or Brembo hand controls next month. For the time being I`ve order Kellerman turn signals all around. Hope to change out the rearsets by March. I emailed Gilles too, waiting for a reply. | ||

On the Beringer or Brembo stuff, have you seen this hardware from ISR in Sweden. It's available in the US and prices are less expensive than competitors, and it's great gear. BadWeB folks are using it, as I will be later this year.  ISR Rocket | ||

Do the other XB models share the 12Ss foot hardware or is the Ss different from the rest of the XB's? I want to put a black pair on my 12Ss and found a pair on the KneeDragger's website, but they only list XB12R for 02 & 03. I tried contacting Gilles directly, but they weren't very clear on which model would fit. | ||

TO THE BEST of my knowledge, the XB stuff is the same... EXCPET... The pegs themselves.. the lightning pegs have a 1 inch drop incorporated into them.. the Bolt doesnt... but the hangars and other hardware appears to be the same.... Chase |
