Has anyone installed the new Ceebailey's windshield? The one that uses the six star nuts and appears to bolt directly over the flyscreen as opposed to using the four soft mount points like the stock one? I'm seriously considering it and I assume it eliminates the potential for a hi-speed 'fly off' but the vibrations have me a bit concerned. Opinions/thoughts are appreciated? Also, does anyone know what the difference is in the stock width and the "euro cut" is? Is the euro cut skinnier? Thanks in advance for any help... |

Here's what is left of my 16" CeeBaileys.
All six bolts are still intact. This is all do to wind load. Whatever you buy, you will need an upper support system. Do a search on slipsteamer. EG97 had a part number that helped him. |

"Whatever you buy, you will need an upper support system." Is that true? My CB 2.5" has been OK. I figured it was how much taller you wanted the screen. Looking, now all they sell are the 12"-16" ones. |

I have the zero G. I love it. It's tons better than the stocker. If you want some pics, lemme know and I'll post them later. I'm 6' and it brings wind up to my mellon. Duck down a little and you're under the wind stream. I've had it on since august with zero problems (no pun intended). It looks great, too. |

Cee Baileys canceled my order with out letting me know. I bought a ZG tall tinted and never looked back. Bought the new Buell hardware from Daves. Much better than the stocker. |

Steve, I overreacted on the supports. My only experience has been with the 16" over. I shouldn't make a general statement covering all of the taller windscreens. I guess I'm still P.O'd about the screen breaking off. Bob |

Thanks for the heads up...I'll look into the zero g. I've got a couple months before our next long ride so I have time to research... |

I have a Cee Bailey 14" that works pretty well. I had to enlarge the bolt holes to make it fit properly. |

Here's my ZG dark tinted. Best modification to the Uly..well besides heated grips now that it's cold. I am 6' and the wind is now shoulder height. My helmet is in clean air. If I want no air, I just tuck down a tad bit and scoot back.

Nice pics Michael. I'm leaning towards the ZG now... I'm also 6' and only looking to move the air to my shoulders. I've not enjoyed windshields in the past that put the air at my helmet or above. |

Has anyone compared the ZG with the Buell tall shield? I have the Buell tall and I don't like it at all-to much wind buffeting . I will soon have a shield for every seat in the basement! |

The buffeting issue with the Buell Tall screen is the litle flip up at the end. The ZG screen does NOT do this. This keeps the airflow nice and smooth. Very little turbulent airflow off the ZG screen. The Buell Tall...I can't say the same for that one. |

I'm quite happy with the airflow characteristics of the stock clear windscreen, but think a dark tint would look really good on an orange Uly. Does anyone make a tinted screen in the same size and shape as the stock screen? |

They paint the back side and it looks good. In the spring time, I will do this to my stocker as well. |

I am also going to do it in the spring also. It looks real sharp and matches the rest of the shield well. |

I've got a CB16 on my Uly, and seeing that one snapped off kinda makes me a little concerned to say the least!! |

8 months of using a CB16 and no problems. I even have a 1 inch by 6 inch slot cut in it i inch above the colored edge to relieve the back pressure noise as was recommended by CB's. Still a bit of turbulance/noise but the tank bag and ear plugs make it go away. |

I've just got back in Oz, my 16" Ceebailey has done a great job, at anything up to 80 mph it has run all day, speeds above that I'm unsure, but I bought it to tour. I broke mine when I got sideswiped by a Mini Van in Luang Prabang, Laos, taped it up and has been good for a couple of 1000 Ks more, still on the Uly. Am ordering a new 16" to replace it.
PS am doing a trip report whn I get back to work tomorrow! |

Brat, Can't wait for the report and pictures!!!!!!!!!! Flyor, The euro cut has a depression in the top edge instead of being straight across, the width is the same. |

Get the Slipstreamer support rods for the tall windshields. Cost 39 bucks for the rod kit with hardware and once installed you'll have piece of mind. |
