Ludo, very nice piece. The new shock will be the crown on your work. It works really better IMO.

Here are some shots of some new and inexpensive bar end mirrors someone may be interested in.

The perception of a lower profile is cool and they really don't get in the way like I thought they would when I first installed them.

They are "Cateyes" which should be available at your local mountain bike store.

Just completed a bunch of front suspension work, black anodized the forks and polished up the triple clamps and fork ends, replaced old rotor with 2000 spec unit powdercoated nuke blue, and did the handlebars in nuke blue. Some pics. See suspension and wheel section for more.

Al - Looks great! What pads did you go with when you changed the rotor? I used EBC, green, but have been told EBC black would have been just as good but easier on the rotor. Just curious. With my current set up I can get the front rotor to spot - heat - when I use it hard, probably not to good.

How do you like the steering dampner?

Roc,
I just used the stock pads....I can lock up the wheel fine with them, and I rarely ride it so hard that I get any significant brake fade, so they're good enough for me.
The steering dampner is a spendy Hyperpro unit...For the most part, I don't know it's there, which is how it should be. It has been said that they are bandaids for other problems, maybe so, but a tank slapper is something I'm not keen to experience. I've never had as much as a wiggle with the thing on, and not all my wheelies come down perfectly straight, I'm still learning 'em! If it saves one slapper, it's worth every dime I spent on it, and besides, I think it LOOKS cool! Hate the gold anodize on the mounting parts, though
