This afternoon I installed a set of Dark Horse rear sliders with the built in stand spools, but my PitBull stand isn't wide enough to engage the spools. I looked at Pitbull's website and didn't see an extra-wide rear stand, What are you using for a stand ? |

Mine is a cheap one, Kimpex. No brace between the vertical legs so it is easy to adjust width just by bending in or out. Seems that a stand that engages the axle sliders will not let you remove the wheel so I also got one that lifts the swing arm itself. |

Buell swingarms seem to be a little wider than other bikes using spools, not sure if that's the problem or not. I think most of us use the swingarm stands that lift from underneath the swingarm instead of the spools... |

I just bought a T-Rex rear track stand off ebay. It works great with the Dark Horse rear sliders. It has with both spool and slider mounts, is wide enough for the Buell swingarm, comes in lots of color choices and the price was right, $63 shipped. Stand quality is top notch and quick delivery too! Adjust the spool mounts to the lowest position and everything easily clears the rear wheel pulley. Search ebay for rear motorcycle stands. Seriously - I spread the Pitbull with the help of a HUGE ex-college wrestler friend of mine. You can do it with a jack and some blocks. I think it only needs to be opened like 3/4 inch. (cheaper than a new stand) |

I was considering getting some tubing and making a 3/4 to 1 inch spacer and TIG welding it in. Even with the spacer, it would adjustable for the Kawi, to keep from having to buy another stand. |
