Merry Christmas and good afternoon! Hope Santa was kind to all and great gifts were received all around. Since the kids weren't scheduled to arrive at our house until early afternoon I snuck out this morning and got a nice ride in. The weather, although cool, was spectacular for a Christmas morning ride. I really felt quite blessed. I hope to be able to link up with some of you crazies in the New Year. Be safe out there. Ron |

Well heck, ditto to all the above. And you know I mean it. I'm at the library and their main frame crashes whenever I try to put up a smiley face or a picture of Natas, so you have to just imagine all kinda crazy stuff winkin' and waveing at you. Dr.Jimmy, I concur completly with your prescription for a run darn soon, so let's get ready for the LAUGH ride and saddle-up! As for you Greeneric, don't listen to them basturds. I had the numb finger thing also. Dr. wanted to CUT INTO MY BODY to theoreticly fix something or other. I declined his kind offer, wore a carple tunnel brace thing, (available at your local__________) and despite the Dr.s'astonishment I was eventualy cured by a bolt of lightning sent by Baal and Chutulu. Bothers me seldomly, and never has been an issue on the bike. (of course my body knew I would kill it if it couldn't still ride, so it had little recourse but to comply) But seriously, be sure to get as many opinions from different doctorbs as possible. Mabey one who is not a surgon? I want to see ya this summer. And to Bib, dude I heard that Duc run last week and OH MY DOG, it sounds freakin' unreal! If you hear it, it will be all over. Load'er up kinda deal. Done. Yup. So Happy Happy Joy Joy to all! See ya sooner, Galen |

FYI I'm looking at a '77 Honda CB550F as a vintage project. The bike was a daily rider last summer and looks real nice. Anyone have experience with these old timers or know what to look for? Jimmmy |

Jim, my first bike was a 77 400 four, wish I still had it. watch for fork seals ,steering head bearings, worn/stretched cam chain which is driven from the center of the crank ie; split cases to remove. the rear brake is mechanially operated via pushrod and very sensitive to setup. look for loose spokes on the wheels to name a few, cool bike though. mine would go into a wicked tank slapper when banked over at anything over 70 mph.. sunday looks good for the bike show and will probably be there when the doors open, the Benelli tnt is up there on my list of favorites Bob. Happy Newyear everybody ! Don. |

Unfortunatly I will no longer be able to associate with BOB if he gets that 'thing'. It's far too beautifull, and far too fast. It's too hard TO KEEP UP WITH HIM NOW! sheesh Whats a friend to do... I guess I'll just keep trying sooner, Galen |

Happy New Year to all! I'm in for the Daytona party. Missed seeing ya'll at the IMS. Pints with Harve and Stu at the Vancouver show sounds good. And that bike of Jim's is four years newer than my first bike. Which me and buddies Trevor and Jim Beam disassembled one night and never put back together. I took it in to get bored out for a 630 kit and they returned it bored to fit pistons 50 thou oversize for a 750. I didn't know anything about combustion chamber size and stuff at the time but I highly doubt it would have worked in any case. I sold it in two 20 gallon buckets. My 883/1200 conversion on the Sportster was my redemption project. |

Happy New Year everyone! 3/10/07 sounds like a very good time for the Canucks to visit. Come to think of it that might be the perfect timing to make my X1 an inhabitant of the US of A. Harv |

Happy 07 everyone! Galen, yes for sure no cutting. Luckily my doc is "old school" and he's not even wanting to do any imaging yet. Still working on physical therapy and seems to be helping. Mike, got your message and left a voice mail back. Sorry couldn't make the ride today, but I had to work (can't pass up double and a half time!). I sure enjoyed your detailed ride report though. So some friends of mine gave me the dvd for the Long Way Round series with Ewan MacGregor. I read the book earlier this year and while the book was excellent, the dvd was an incredible video of their ride around the world. More than just a documentary of two mates' motorcycle adventure. Some of the conditions they were faced with and obstacles they had to overcome....amazing. The people they met...and the countries...Russia, Kazakstan, Mongolia, Siberia, the Road of Bones... Anyway, put this on your Netflix list or go get it and I guarantee you will enjoy it. Amazing. |

Mikes race report - communication is a strong suit. Or better yet, that is my strong suit, typical wife always talking to much! Race report on Mikes behalf - I woke up really early - in fact far to early considering I didn't have my kids at home and could have just stayed home and snuggled with the wife - NOT there was a ride to be done and I was prepared. After spending the day before making sure the bike would start, getting it all washed and pretty I was set. I suited up, packed the rain gear in the tank bag, plugged in the electric vest and headed for Cycle Gear. There were several bikes there ready for the big ride, although no bikes were as clean as mine. After assessing the ride destinations and conditions I soon headed back home where my lovely wife was cleaning the house and happy to see me return safely. It was wet and cold, but it was all worth it, I got this cool polar bear pin - that Cody has displayed proudly on his dresser. I spent the rest of the day on the couch under a warm quilt with my two dogs. THE END. PS.... my feet warmed up by about dinner time! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE - KIMBERLIE |

Eric, The Long Way Round is an outstanding series. It's my favorite 2-wheel movie. It's hilarious and inspiring. If I ever have the resources and the time I'd love to do a ride like that, on a smaller scale of course. |
