I don't know what that frame is but it's most likely a one off. Spondon could have made it. Maybe Harris too, but it has none of their usual trademarks. That wouldn't be unusual given the oddity of the application you could say. Whoever made it they splayed the tubes wide to accept the Isolators and run the Buell swing arm set-up. Doing so they used the width to put the exhaust inside the frame. I came across a custom built frame on an S1 several years ago, and it was pretty similar if memory serves. The pics I have of that S1 are on an old PC I have stashed away somewhere. It would be great to get that and loads of other Buell pics off it one day soon. I did at the time post pics of the S1 I'm mentioning and it had another really unusual feature, which was two pretty small custom made mufflers placed under the motor, and they looked great. I don't suppose anyone kept the pics I posted and it was before the great BadWeB crash so I doubt they'll be achieved. Sorry I can't help more. It would be cool to identify that bike. I'd guess at it being British though? Rocket |

It's a Spondon, I'm sure. Air-tech did one a few years ago, it looks very similar. http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/Harley/kentsal ien.html |

That's the same frame alright, but I'm doubtful it's Spondon. I spoke with Bill at Spondon a few years ago, and he didn't mention that frame to me, and our conversation was in particular about ALL frames that he had made for Buell, Barton and Sparton. I feel sure, given our conversation was not long after that Airtech bike, that Bill would have mentioned it. Maybe it's an American built frame given the information on that link you posted Rich? Looking at Spondon's site..... I would have to say that is a Spondon frame. If it aint, someone did an excellent job of copying it. Although did not Spondon have a US builder/importer at one point? |

I looked at the air-tech bike at Daytona Bike Week, I was sure the fellow there told me it was a Spondon. |

Rich, I apologise for doubting you. I was pretty convinced the frame displayed non of Spondons usual trademarks. But I was wrong. It is Spondon and once again I'm a jerk! lol. Rocket |
