Got 07 xp12r at night low beam looks like little more than half pie shape on ground. Only illuminate about 20ft front. Looked at the light on the bike and see the shape of the filamant in the bulb and thats what it looks like on the ground. New bulb needed ? |

there is a metal diffuser plate in the low beam on firebolts. Try removing it and see if that helps. |

Dia, The diffuser plate would be what reflects the light in the housing that holds the bulb ? Is that pattern normal? No other Buells to check around here. |

It's a little metal plate shaped like a half a pie. Cuts off the top half of the light pattern. Take it out n your lighting will still suck but be better than with it in. Put in a pair of sylvania silver stars and your lighting will still suck but be better than without them. All in all the lighting on the firebolt sucks but there are a couple tricks to make it suck a LITTLE less. |
