If that means you're going to sell 'Turtle' then, No, I dont have one! Seriously, I think I still have a stock black one left (and a chopped one). Its got some some scratches (hash marks) but is in otherwise good condition. I'd be willing to trade for something or $20+ shipping. I wont be upset if someone else has one they'd be willing to part with first though. |

Not selling it yet...maybe/probably in the spring. I'm gonna need an Enduro/dual sport to keep up with my family. The new Mooseracing MotoX bars are great and will provide miles of pleasant riding through the winter |

For Sale: 2002 Blast Black 500 miles All stock except: Maier fairing/V&H exhaust It runs fine, unfortunately a severe lack of spare time and a slight lack of $ are the reasons for the sale. I love the bike and will probably get another sometime down the road. If interested email me at matchettc@gmail.com for more details. I am in the Pittsburgh, PA area. |

as much as i like my bike i have my eye on a bike for sale locally. it is a BMW F 650 GS and i plan on using it for a trip to alaska i am taking next year. i know it is a bad time of the year to try and sell a bike in NE but i thought i would give it a try before i bought this other bike. if it does not sell, i will keep it for my daughter and continue to ask all sorts of stupid questions as i continue to work on the bike. |

What the heck do you want to go to Alaska for? Go to Alabama, the Promised Land! LOL! Better tell us what you are asking for it..... |

I understand the the desire for the F650GS...my dad just bought a Dakar and after trying it I have a serious jones for a KLR (BMW's are not in my price range). Not to say that I don't love my Blast but my motorcycling desires have moved into the dualsport realm and well you need a Dual sport to do that. |

Well, you will still be a thumperman! Hard to pass up a F650. Good luck with it. I've read a few trips stories of folks riding to Alaska, and some about fishing there, and been told story's about my wifes canoe trip before she met me. It sounds like a great place to visit. |

if anyone is interested in reading some stories about motorcycling to alaska a great book to read is "motorcycling stories-adventure touring from the northwest territories to the yucatan peninsula" by Piet Boonstra. Piet is a personal friend of mine (he lives up the street from me) and i have known him all my life. he was named AMA rider of the year a few years ago. he is 84 years old, rides everyday no matter what the weather and in fact just won a high milage contest from a local HD dealer. his BMW 1200 has well over 150,000 his Dakar has close to 90,000. prior to his long distance touring adventures he was a champenship enduro rider who raced with the likes of malcolm smith and john penton amongst others. another great read is his book "the golden age of enduros". at this time of the year when some of the younger rides in our area are trying to locate a trailer so they can get there bikes to Daytona for bike week this year this 84yr old man will ride solo as he has for the past 50yrs to bike week. if anyone is interested in reading either of his books and has trouble finding them i will get you a copy and have him sign it for you. his trips to alaska have inspired me get a BMW and accompany him on an alaskian trip next year. |

Wanted Any year, any mileage, almost any condition, blast. Looking to make a true supermoto style thumper from a whole blast. If anyone has a good frame and complete motor that would make a great starting point. More would be better but I don't want to spend a lot to get started. I've been all over ebay and the price on these things usually start low and double or triple in the end. |

Keep looking! I bought one for $1000 and I know plenty of others that have gone in the $1000-$1500 price range. I've even see them go for less! Have you checked the Badweb classifieds? (Message edited by gearheaderiko on November 29, 2006) |
