Stoef, 2 reasons. 1/. I do want to ride. If the bike needs to be quiet for noise restrictions at the track, then it needs to be quiet. No problem. 2/. I'll be very surprised if I lose much power with the original muffler. Even if I do, I want to know how it works. Mine is brand spanking new. I got the shop to fit the 'trapp before I picked it up. Now I'm curious what the standard one is like. I'll bring the Supertrapp with me and if the stocker sucks and if I can get on the track noisy, then I'll change it. At least all the rain now means we've got a better chance of it being sunny next week! Maybe. PPiA |

PPiA, I don't know how your M2 performs with the stocker but my X1 really sucks with it. The power isn't too bad at higher revs but you loose "some" (most of the) torque. Too bad I know how it can and must be! Hoping for sunny weather...and understanding people there Stoef |

Zandvoort has been and gone. I had a great time. Bought some velcro to stick on my leather pants, and some sliders to stick on the velcro. Managed to get them in contact with the track a few times, so I was happy. The stock muffler was a big surprise. The bike ran very well with it. Lost a little in the midrange, but I think it picked up on top, which suited this bigger track quite well. I will try to get to Charleys for a dyno run to see what it's actually doing. I'm seriously considering leaving it on, or at least opening it up to see if it's possible to pick up the midrange as well. I didn't need to change it in the end. Buell was nice and let all the loud bikes on, even going so far as to allow Grizzly on with his TL! Needless to say, he kicked our butts...... Sorry for the lack of track pics, but I was riding more than taking photos. Hans. Hans, the gentleman with the tie, being interviewed. Psycho Hein, Grizzly and SteveP. The guy riding this had one leg (I think), but was still in the fastest group. PPiA |

Nice pics Pete. Zandvoort was the first race track I set foot on and it was absolutely unbelievable. If there would be some trace of mistrust in Buells in general: The track is the ultimate cure. Each time postponing the point you have to brake before you fall into the turn. Saw the instructor, who had pointed me to his reerwheel absolutely horizontal, where the track was banking a little, riding through the curve and... I WAS keeping his wheel. All what is sticking out sideways has flat surfaces now. The Buell on the race track is very forgivable and I can assure you that it did forgive me a lot. All 75 persons came out without roadrash or anything worse. Fantastic day. Thanks Buell and importer. Hans. |

Blake, That's just genuine dirty Dutch rain water from riding to the track on some wet roads. 'Course the poor little M2 may have pissed itself in fright when it saw the green monster, but it bravely put up a fight on the track without letting me know it'd wet itself.... Did me proud that little M2. PPiA |

Hi Ron, Welcome aboard. I have no picture, but a professional photographer has made pictures of everyone in action. He got the adress list with the racenumbers from Buell/HD and he will send us all our pics, expecting that we will pay or send the pics back. So sit down in your chair and wait. Hans. |

Peter, You're the best, after your BSF experience still calling mine your favourite Buell; I'm flattered... You know what? Since I thought of selling it after the hard time she gave me in France last summer, she must have read my thoughts. I'm jealous. Mines better than his I've had the man servant polish my Beast today, if you'll pardon the expression. It's looking AWESOME and it's a real HOT ROD too, and it's black and shiny, so there. I told Hein to keep his too. Remember my email darling ? That's one great S1 baby. I need to look at the Hyper-Pro in real life, and I want the Force set-up but with that carbon manifold from Germany. Oh, so much to do. Todays MCN reports that MV are ready to launch the production version of the Brutale, early next year. £9000 is a total bargain, providing you've got nine grand, which I haven't Rocket in England |

Yeah, he's not a bad teacher for an old bloke. We're going for a ride out in the scrub on Saturday on dirt bikes. I'll see what tricks the old boy can teach me about off road riding. Aw Griz, it was a private joke. Seems Peter liked to knock my leathers, right up until the moment he wanted to run in the 130 club and figured out my leathers fit him better than any other pair available at the salt flats. Then all of a sudden they became quite stylish! Amazing how that works |
