Bike ran out of gas, now it runs horrible. It will missfire and sound like cylinders are cutting in and out. I have a race ecu, power commander, force racing pipe, stock airbox. I put new plugs in and ran 3 tanks of gas with fuel injector cleaner in it and it's not getting better yet. Do i need to reset something? I can only get 100 miles out of a tank of gas also. |

replace your fuel filter, a i once ran out of fuel in a 4runner i had, and it wouldnt start because the filter became clogs due to all the shit in the tank |

Buell DDFI's don't like running out of fuel (esp tubers) Maybe try resetting the AFV. (Constant engine speed for 5 miles around 4k rpm???) You might search the board for more info. ANother thing ... I've never heard of any positive experiences with the Power Commander--only complications. You might take that out of the equation as well. There might be some trash/water in the injectors and injector lines. I worked on a XB9 that was running poorly and the plugs looked like the engine was running rich. After draining the tank, I found a few thimbles full of water in the fuel. Fresh fuel and no more problems. |

I've seen this before and there's more information somewhere... Run an F/I tuber out of fuel, and you're guaranteed problems. Good Luck... Nick |
