And which pads leave the least "dust" on the rims? |

Hey George, What kind of riding do you typically do? Cruise, hard sportbike, track days, etc.? Keith |

DP have worked nicely and left little dust, Same with EBC HH's. Both perform quite well and are widely available. |

DP part #DP926 front DP115 rear :http://www.dp-brakes.com/dp.php?load=dp_pad_search&level=4&make=9&model=XB9R&cc= All&year=2002-2005 EBC part #FA345HH front FA140HH rear :http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Assets/USA2006MCcat.pdf For vendors...DaveS here on badweb (Appleton H-D/Buell) or Al at American Sport Bike are at the top of my list. Al also sells the Lyndall Racing Brake pads they are also very good, but require careful break-in to work their best. |

The Lyndalls work great for even aggressive street riding, they clean off the deposits left by the stock pads, but they do leave more dust. Nothing is ever perfect is it? Keith |

Carbone Lorraine. 54 a seat incl. tax (fronts and rears together) Most of us don't race our bikes. Though we think we do when we haul buns around town and back roads. We really aren't racing, though. So, there's no need to go crazy on the pads unless you are really going to use them for that purpose. On that note, my neighbor uses the Carbone Lorraine sbk5 pads on the front and 3's on the rear and he uses them at track days all the time, and has never had a problem. I happen to be using the same setup but just by coinsidence. Like I said, I get mine from Cogent Dynamics Inc. and I paid 27.58 for the fronts and 23.53 fro the rears. I HIGHLY recommend them. I ordered them and they showed up at my door in 2 days, and I didn't have to pay some ridiculous amount for shipping. Ask for Rick. They also rebuild forks and shocks and can do wonders for your setup at better prices then most. Mark |
