I've been looking for an XB9S in the Michigan area for some time. Have been watching local "trader" publications and ebay but can't seem to get to one quick enough before it sells. Prefer a bike in black with race kit but am open to other options (but only XB9S or SX). Any leads would be appreciated! | ||

Check out my 2005 CityX for $ 6,100 in the bikes for sale. Even with shipping to MI you would still be ahead instead of buying local. Superbee | ||

I should have added this initially... I have a total budget of $5000 (including tax). I'm hoping to purchase a bike before my wife realizes I will need to pay insurance too. Needless to say, I am looking for a deal. I've missed out on a couple of bikes on Ebay that sold in the low $4000s. With this type of budget shipping probably won't be an option AND I will want to see in person any bike that would be sold for that amount! | ||

Well, my patience has worn thin. I'm on my way to look at and probably buy a 2003 Speed Triple in Ohio today. Was really looking forward to owning a Buell but I guess it can wait a couple more years. Thanks to those who offered suggestions and good luck to everyone. Hope to become a part of the family one day! | ||

Whooops. Too late to delete my last post. I'm back in the market! The guy called me as I was packing up the trailer for the 300+ mile drive to pick up the bike to let me know that he'd sold it to a local guy for the same price he agreed to with me.  I must not have made my intention to purchase clear enough for him. Maybe he thought I was going to drive all that way to shoot the sh_t. Well the buyer got a heckuva deal and I am back looking for a bike. Hopefully I'm able to beat someone to the punch some time before Thanksgiving. Anybody got an xb9s they'd like to sell? | ||

Thanks Toona. I'd seen that one, but 13,000 miles?  Not sure I want something quite that "used". I appreciate the help though. Can anyone offer advice on different online search methods for bikes? Other than the obvious Ebay and cycletrader? (Am I allowed to ask that?) | ||

If the bikes in good shape and never been binned, sounds like a good deal. don't worry about 13000m, the motors are really strong.When buying used i've found the bikes that have been used daily, run better than the ones that only get fired up once a week, only to go for a five minute ride. Get riding and have fun  | ||
