with the headwork im gonna get done, i think i want to go with a different cam timing and lift. the SE are a better match to the stage 2 headwork from nallin. im gonna try both though to see for myself but this is from suggestion from nallin when i inquired about t cams and their headwork... do you know nallins not a sponsor? i figured they were with all the talk they get from badweb and all the business they get from here... weird.. jh |

I suspect that with the SE536's you're possibly going to get even more of "what you don't like"? |

OK that's fine. If you already like the 536's then that's your answer. I didn't understand that you already use them before you told me. It's physics, the more lift and duration you use, the narrower and higher up the rev range the power band will go. IMO, if you want more lower down power, you need a bigger motor rather than hotter camshafts. Steve www.shs-consulting.co.uk |

thanks steve, ill keep that in mind... i do like the all throught the power band reving the n8's give me though. the se's give nice mid to high end power but seem to lack low end... what to do, what to do... |

Ryker, Did you get the Mikuni on the bike yet? That Buell is a sweet ride! It screams for sure. 600 lift cams with 272 duration! Steve |

The N8's are an early closing intake which is more of a torque cam than the 536 SE cams you are refering to and you will notice little to no difference between the two cams unless you do a compression change. The cams will give you a little more HP versus an earlier torque curve. You must weigh out the two and really you are spitting hairs and waisting time by changing out those cams. Been there and done that with N8's versus HQ0043 600/248 duration cams and got very similar results. If you are going to change out cams use something that will give you a bigger increase but your compression will play a major role in performance gains. Steve Former X1 owner |
