I am looking for a good looking, good fitting, quality set of saddlebags and tank bag for my Blast. I think the Buell brand models are a little small and overpriced. Anyone have any suggestions?? |

LOL - Ventura luggage has some nice stuff, others have used the X1 saddlebags and tank bags with success also, there are a few different styles/mfgrs. I have listed for luggage in the links to stuff you can't find here section. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Yeah... Tourmaster Cortech Saddle Bags & Cortech Tail Bag. They are designed to clip together or can be used separately. They work very well on the Blast. Just be sure you raise the saddlebags up fairly high so you have adequate clearance from that mondo sprocket, belt, & guard. -Saro |

I put a set of Willy & Max Braided compact slant saddlebags on. ( 11"wide X 9.5 " High X 5.5 Deep ) the only modifications were to punch two holes for the seat alignment pegs. I made my own frames and attached them to the two (on each side) tabs with holes under the passenger part of the seat. Ran it all last summer with no problems. I dont think anything bigger will fit as well however. I will get some pictures out after this weekend. Sandy |

I found some Nelson Rigg saddlebags at www.cycleluggage.com. The prices seem to be reasonable. I don't think I would try any bags longer than 17",though. They also have a selection of tank bags and tailpacks. Brands include Chase-Harper, Teknics, etc. |

We went with Nelson Rigg Saddlebags...(STSB-250 Standard Saddlebags) I got them for 65 bucks at www.newenough.com We are very happy with them. As Saro said, just be careful about cinching up the bags so they don't touch the sprocket or the brake. |

Does anyone know where I can buy a luggage rack for the Blast? I know Ventura makes one, but I haven't seen anywhere to buy it without buying their whole outfit (bag and all). I don't need the bag, just a rack that I can use with the bag I already have. |

I just bought the Tourmaster Cortech Sport tail and saddlebags, and highly recommend them. Expandable, comes with rain covers, they clip together to make one secure unit, plenty of space, exteremly well made, nice organizer in the lid of the tailbag...I could go on. They're superb. Decent price at around $170 for the set. I also picked up the matching Cortech Super Mini Strap Tank Bag, and highly recommend that as well. Perfect fit for the Blast tank, truly. |

I am looking for new saddlebags. I have been through two sets of the Buell bags, one I paid for, the other was sort of a gift thanks to Buell customer service. Guess I am tough on my gear. The most current post here is 2005 - don't know if anyone has any new info about good bags that will mount without any mods. Thanks for any suggestions. |

Check out this link about half way down. from the UP ride this May. The picture is of Jugallo94 and the tail bag he strapped on, it held everything he needed for the weekend. The Big Kid and I were just using soft back packs bungee corded backwards on the tank. The pictures were from the ride your Ulysses to the UP promotion put on by Daves. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/196242.html?1147049458 |

No I don't think so, most of them were far away shots. The one doing the burnout Is Jugallo94. There is one picture of the next Ulysses buyer going on a test ride, that is the Big Kid, he is standing next to Daves's, wife Kandie. The other ones that had us posed at the Mackinaw Bridge and lighthouse were removed from where they were downloaded from. I don't know what happened to them. There are some of us at the resturant eating. |

I still have the pics on the way back from the trip. I will check and see what happend to them when I get home from work today. They should still be around here. The tail bag I have is just a duffel bag held on with one of those bungee webs. I do have a tank bag also. It is a cortech super mini. I have pics of it somewhere I will look for them tonight also. |

See my pic in profile. Tourmaster expandable tank bag fitted. Holds a lot and just fits. Non magnetic and can be used with Buell Blast tank bag straps (I have both bags and swap them back and forth as needed). (Message edited by gearheaderiko on November 15, 2006) |

NYT: I use a tail bag from JC Whitney and I have the Buell OEM saddle bags. Still deciding on a tank bag. The tail bag is "ok", inexpensive with easy on and off. I am sure there are better options. See http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Brow se/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2010255/p-2010 255/N-111+10211+600014581/c-10111 The OEM bags I picked up used but have not used as of yet. I will try to get a picture up for you today since the rain has stopped. |

This is the best pic I could find of my tail bag and tank bag. The tank bag is the cortech super mini strap bag and is a little small but I manage to make it work. It fits perfectly on the tank. |

The best tank bag for the Blast that I have seen or found is the Chase Harper 650 Sportbike Tank Bag They only thing I did to product improve it was to sew the front quick releases to a piece of webbing, once I figured out the length, and Zip Tie that in place. |

Ok I picked up a set of Chase Harper Stealth saddlebags for the unbelievable price of $26. They arrived today in the mail and I attached them. One set of clips to my rearsets and the other around under the tail light they fit nice and taught though I will be modding the rear clips a bit on my sewing machine to make removal easier. As for fit they're as good as the Buell bags but are larger and better looking. As for photos I will post some tomorrow it's too dark now to shoot anything |

Because I am a girl and need to carry my work clothes, handbag, and shoes in a very sturdy case, I bought a Givi case with the monolock system. A friend of mine fabricated a mounting system on the back of the bike. I really love it. It is sturdy, waterproof and can be locked. It holds my helmet, gloves and other things when I get off the bike. I will try to post a picture over the holiday weekend. |

it is removable. My Blast is really fast. It was 4 months old when I bought it and the previous owner added $2000 worth of high performance gear. Plus I love the sound. It is an empty pipe (did I say that right?) so it is really loud. I rode with a friend who owns a Triumph and he said he knew I was still behind him because he could hear the bike. |
