Here are pics of the first and second place bikes. The black one beat the Uly(and all the rest of us) that had posted on here before. The orange one ran 12.20ish. And one more pic of most of the bikes that were in the Shoot Out. I have more pics of the bike in the pits, including a V-Rod Destroyer, if anybody wants to see them.    I know this is the Tulsa Riders thread, but, this was in Tulsa, all the people that showed up are potential members, right? | ||

Jason, Welcome! So are you one of the guys Jim (at Route 66) was telling me about that drag races Buells? Cool. Yeah, I am looking for a XB12R to turn into a track only bike. Is yours for sale? Or you say you know of another one? Please inform! The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 14th at 6:45. That is the SECOND Tuesday of every month. We used to have them on the third Tuesday, but that interferes with a couple of holiday weeks. Edgar was the guy on the Orange Uly at the drags. He is a member of the club. Glad you found us. I went in did the Pig Trail in Arkansas with some of the Tulsa Sportbike Riders club on Sunday. What an incredible road. Put in over 400 miles...and the scenery was great!   | ||

Hey , Drake , I got a call to go on a ride Sunday , myself. I rode with a 636 Ninja and a ZX9 . We rode hwy.20 and hwy. 90 to Washburn , past Roaring River , then south to Jasper , Ark. We ate at the Cliff House . You need to try it sometime it has a great view. Then we made a loop on a road with some peg grinders. I had my boots rub the pavement a couple of times !! No Chicken Strips !!! We rode approx. 450 miles. We left Salina at 8:00 and got back to Locust Grove at 5:30 . We were probably close to each other at some point . Later , Edgar . | ||

Well guys, I don't know if you have seen it or not, but over on the "Quick Board" there is a thread indicating that there will be no more official BRAG clubs starting in 2007. If you read about it you will see that there will still be free benefits for being a Buell owner (like free Fuell Magazine, etc...) This, however, will really not change the direction of the Buell riders club we are forming here in Tulsa. We can all still get together and talk Buells and go on rides and stuff. We just won't have to have an official BRAG club name. Now we can have free reign on what WE want to do with the club. Lets talk about the details at our next meeting at the Dealership on Tuesday, November 14th... (That is the 2nd Tuesday of the month). Personally, I would like to keep the dealership in the loop as they have provided support and a great meeting place for us to gather. Any more thoughts? Drake | ||

Went for a nice ride today around Tulsa. Stopped by the dealership and picked up a part and then went downtown and explored all the side streets. Then hit Riverside Drive to the Brookside neighborhood. Stopped at Myers Duren, since I have never been there before. No Buells, so I left (But I knew that). On the way home I went out into the country and practiced some wheelies on a two lane road. Weather was nice, wish I had someone to ride with.  | ||

Nice day to take a little ride Sunday !! I rode some secondary asphalt roads south of Locust Grove that connect with Hwy.10 . Then rode north toward Kansas , Ok. I had my second " Run In " with a deer. I was doing 60 mph in a righthander and it came out of nowhere ! I managed to slow down to approx. 30 mph before making contact. I didn't go down , but it was real close. My left ankle is beat up , and there is deer hair stuck between my tire and wheel. Considering the alternative , I feel lucky !! Be Carefull out there ... | ||
