Still chilly even here in the Carolinas, though...about 45 this morning when I headed in on the ole Uly for a hair cut. I have a BMW riding sweatshirt my wife got me for xmas last year, hooded and windproof neck-absolutely excellent piece of kit, but even in a full face helmet my chin was numb after about 20 minutes. What's the answer for that one?

I swear by electric gear (gerbings). Keep the core warm and the blood will help keep everything else warm. I do 25 miles to work one way down to about 15 deg comfortably with only a electric jacket under my normal suit. If I'm riding longer plug in the pants and gloves. As for your chin I use one of these. http://www.aerostich.com/product.php?productid=167 36&cat=287&page=1 It also helps keep the shield from fogging if worn bandit style over your nose.

My problem is even though I live in Southern California my home is in the Mountains at 4,700 ft elevation. There are mornings where it is down right cold, but a half hour later I am down the "hill" and it is much warmer. So I deal with a little cold in the morning instead of sweating all day in warmer gear. Of course there are days when we get ice or snow that its to the cage I unfortunately go.

No problem with the color wars. I have a "faster" Red Yamaha GTS1000 that I put "slower" Blue Body work on.

Same Bike as above, but with Blue Plastic.

Congrats on the Barricade, Krassh! I know Crestline enough to know which bike you'll be rolling from the stable during the next few months!

Is your rear reflector reversed for a reason?

Noticed that the other day, makes me wonder if I should let this dealer work on my bike. Boy if they cannot even put the reflectors on right!

Lucky for me, I paid $7,500.00 out the door for a new '93 in 1995 instead of the 12,999.00 they were asking in 1993.

Now after 93,000 miles, I need to put a lot of money into the GTS or I am thinking of parting it out.

Congrats on the new bike. My bike came with the rear reflector backwards too. I thought it was because of how large the paper temp tag was compared to normal motorcycle plates. I reversed it as soon as I got my plates on. Nice GTS too. I always thought those were a very interesting bike. I don't think I have ever seen one on the road though.

With only about 850 units sold in the US it is no surprise. It is like Nessy only a few people have seen her.

I actually took pictures of a GTS on US-58 in Virginia this year. If ever I get software that works on my phone I will post the pic. Very unusual with the single sided swing arm up front. I wondered how well the bike worked.

Works very well, no dive problems in the front end. Very stable and love the ABS brakes.
