I was checking out the racing section and saw all the racer profiles--even our own Steve Slaughter--.My question is--are all of these folks sponsored by Buell or are they privateers? And if so how did their profiles get done?? Are us poor landspeed racers being excluded--??? |

You have to submit your profile to get it posted. Henry Duga can tell you who to send your profile to. They are privateers...Like Michael Snell...aka: Diablomichael |

Yeah, You submit your info to Buell on forms they have. Contrary to rumor, there's no real factory sponsorship. Get Henry to send you the forms. If not, I'll email you the things. Don't know how often they re-work the website - they just did a major overhaul. All the folks you see profiled there are mostly doing it "for the love of the sport" (apologies to Mike Hailwood for the plagiarizing) You'll notice my sponsors - a cartoonist (Sandra Lara, disillusion designs) and the mythical "Lavin-Yurassov Racing" And of course, Glendale HD/Buell and Bartels HD/Buell. If I pay retail, there's no way I'm listing somebody as a sponsor. I'm finally FINALLY paid off, getting suspension reworked, heads rebuilt and HOPE to be racing this month again. Sandra by the way did my Novice racing logo and did our cornerworker fundraising logo:

FMJ - shoot me your email addy and I'll shoot you the forms (found them on MS-Word files) I think ALL forms of racing should be represented! I'd love to see a Uly in the Baja with that (unanounced) racer's profile up there too! |
