I am no rookie when it comes to motorcycles. I am a motorcycle mechanic, and am pretty well versed in suspension theory and operation. I am confident that my damping settings aren't "way off". The harder I ride this thing, it seems that headshake is just an inherent characteristic of the chassis at high speeds. Settle down!!!! If you knew what you were talking about you would'nt be asking now would you? Just because your a "MECHANIC" does not mean you know the ins and outs of suspension dynamics. I have no problems with headshake at speed on the track or a smooth road, which the SR 87 is not so your inherent theory is no good in my opinion. Maybe next time you could tell us a little about yourself and possibly a little background in what you do for a living before jumping our case for trying to help you out. On a side note if you plan on running state highways at that speed you will most likely get headshake for the simple fact that the road is not smooth. Take that kind of speed to the track where the road conditions are more suitible for suspension assessment. Have a nice day!} |

Hey Buellers- If you're planning on attending the "Enchanted Twisties" factory BRAG rally in New Mexico this September, please go to www.santafeharley.com and follow the links to register. The cut-off to register and receive a t-shirt is August 28. You can register after that, but t-shirts will only be on a first-come, first serve basis. Hope to see you there. Murrae |

They set the TPS, Blah Blah Blah...It did the same thing on the way home...I have learned to just shut it off, and restart it, sometimes it helps, could be electronics, could be intake seals, I'm not sure and TOO lazy to check! |

Anyone else go to the demo at Chandler H-D? It was a decent event. Everyone, including myself was there to sample the Ulysses. So I had to try out a Cityx and an XB9R, while I waited for my turn on the U. Got 20% off some parts and merchandise too. The U was easy to ride and I'm sure would comfortable for a long haul, but the demo circuit was too short to really tell. I kinda forgot how crouched over the XB9R was. I will have to say my XB12SS is the best compromise for the street. (Still, wish I could have one of each XB, though.) |

THERE'S NOT REALLY ANY ROADS WORTH RIDING IN THE VALLEY,YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE VALLEY AND HEAD NORTH OR SOUTH.I'D LIKE TO PUT A RUN TOGETHER OUT TO THE SALT RIVER AND UP AND OVER TO PAYSON WITH A FUN BLAST BACK DOWN THE 87.WE'LL HAVE TO DO IT PRETTY SOON BEFORE WE GET DONE WITH THE PERFECT RIDING WEATHER AND HAVE TO WEAR TO MUCH GEAR.HOW ABOUT A TRACKDAY? |

I got tickets for $6 each at t&c. Metro and YSA should have tickets for $6 too. parking is free. Reg price is $12. I'm going to check out the demos. Buell, H-D, Yamaha/Star, Piaggo (scooters?). Hopefully, I won't be the only Buell in the parking lot. |

if you guys want a sweet bike ride head to southern wisconsin. its beautiful hear and the twisties are exellent not to mention the buell factory in east troy. i feel bad for those that have only rode in arizona. after riding up here my buell will never see arizona or that half of the country again. i will post pics next spring and you will understand why i love it up here (Message edited by wolf102 on November 02, 2006) |
