My front (oem) ones had about 10% left at 7000 miles. Rear still had plenty.

i was thinking my fronts looked a little low at 11,000 miles now. i looked at a new bike at the dealer and the pads didn't look all that much thicker than mine.

i better replace them..better safe than sorry.

Mine still look good at 10,400, I have some chatter but I'm not changing them until I have literally squeezed the life out of them.

Look out for less than ethical dealers when dealing with this topic, as I had one try and tell me I needed pads (or almost needed them as they put it) at a 3000 mile service!!!

Needless to say, I declined to have them replaced and check them out myself at tire change time (4500 miles), and they still look fine!

I've got almost 14000 miles and the pads are fine. I'm not hard on the brakes though.

10,000 on the fronts and only 2/32nds left, 4/32nds on the rears.
New Lyndalls on now. Big improvement in brake feel, real noticable in the rear. Be sure to follow break-in/seating procedures if you use Lyndalls.
