Whoa! Be careful Jimmy_bondo. Glad to hear that your injuries are of the non-serious nature and hopefully the bike fared equally as well. My son Casey and I are tentatively planning a trip down for the MotoGP next summer. Thinking we would take the bikes and the scenic route down. Ok it turns out the threads are really steel wires showing through the rubber! So happens one of the best parts of going to school is I'm back riding my bike DAILY! My last few jobs precluded this possibility. But it is being a wonderfull EXTRA BONUS of starting a new carrer. At 53.... Got pulled over doing 42 in a 30 about 2 weeks ago. By a bike cop who let me go witha "keep it down". I figured he meant the front wheel so yesterday leaving school I somehow was doing about 50 out of the schools' parkinglot when I saw two wheels hiding behind a tree. Pulled the speed down as they pulled in behind me. Followed me for 12 blocks befor they just pulled off and went back to their lair. Bob, big Shelly looks kinda like Marsha Martindale you hooked me up with. Turned out she was a 'pro' and our relationship didn't last as long as you and Deb's has... Looks like lodging is already filling up too. I'm looking at booking rooms tonight and it'll have to be in Marina or Salinas, Monterey appears to be full up. The rooms aren't cheap either! Galen, being the crazy guy you are please be careful! School zones are nothing to be messin around in. Don glad to hear that you are healing up and almost back to work. Hows Lo doing? Was wondering who is going to be heading to Seattle for the IMS? We are planning on going up Sat morning. Staying at the Best Western (the usual place) Do we want to try and get everyone together for a dinner party Sat night? There is a place (or there was) right accross the street from the best western that served good drinks and I think food too. Any canadians wondering down? Jimmy, Harv, Eric, John, Stewart? Loni PS Talking about Border Raid...Remember folks that if you are planning to attend the 2007 ride you will need your passport to get accross the border. (Dead line is either Jan 8th or Feb 1st I have heard both)I had today off so went down to the post office here in Vancouver and got all the details taken care of and the passport will be in the mail 6-8 weeks. Cost was $102. Chunk of change just to prove who I am! Be sure to take with you: Proof of citizenship (Birth cert), Drivers Lic, and know the birthdates of your parents. | ||

I'm a bad, bad boy. Haven't been on Gina for 6 weeks or so. Sunny day, dry roads, etc. Ok, so the Washington County Sheriff gave me a ticket today for 90 in a 55, a Class A speeding ticket, fine $427.00. I need some advice. Lawyer? Mercy of the court? Pay the fine and ask for diversion to expunge the record? | ||

Steve did you make the call? Please do not pay that fine or try to take the courts on your own. I'm 3-0 with the lawyer and 0-10 without. I know others with similar stories also. I'm sure someone will chime in and say if you play you pay and there right. Just pay the lawyer and not the courts and insurance companies. Mike | ||

Galen you are all over it. Weirdly, I got an invitation to the IMS in the mail today so I feel it's my responsibility and honor to confirm the dates. Friday December 1 - 4pm-9pm Saturday December 2 - 9:30am-8:00pm Sunday December 3 - 9:30am-5:00pm OK, so fellow Canucks is it a blast down on Friday or Saturday? So far I'm fairly flexy. I gave it a bump to the top of the quick board, titled "Blue Groove" not SPLASH. Laguna is the 21st through the 23rd. I'm told SPLASH, or whatever, should be the previous weekend - 13th through the 15th. I don’t really have a vision of what it should be. Seems to me that Buell would be interested in participating, 10th annual event with what I think they would consider as good turnout, but maybe they don’t do that sort of thing anymore. If our usual suspects are excited about making it a bigger event I will work on it. |
